Wow! I am in awe of this book, the story of Manning and Lake were so addicting. I was pulled in from the beginning of their story and I just couldn’t put it down, until the end. Lake was young and too smart for her own good. She was so innocent and didn’t care much for boys, not until she met Manning. Manning was a big guy and oozes sex appeal, he also had the look of a bad boy. When they met Lake was only 16 and Manning was 23, so of course that meant Lake was a forbidden fruit. Lake had the innocence of any young girl and the smarts that pulled Manning in. He couldn’t help but want to be around her and protect her. Lake may only have been 16, but she also felt very protective of Manning. Then her sister Tiffany had to get in the way. She was a little ditzy and very high maintenance. I wanted to hate her for getting in the way, but I couldn’t. The girl also needed someone to love and protect her, she was just at the wrong place at the right time. Manning needed a reason to stay around a 16 year old and Tiffany was it.
