Heartwarming. Poignant. Devastatingly beautiful. These are a few words that comes to mind when describing Chanel Cleeton’s latest new release, On Broken Wings. It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of the author as Cleeton continues to soar high with her sizzling romance that packs a punch when it comes to the matters of the heart.



To say that she is flying high is an understatement because Cleeton once again delivers a love story that has you on cloud nine. With her heart tugging and emotional prose, Cleeton allows her readers to get lost in a world of hurt, love, passion, hope and second chances. Readers like myself are swept away as two people found solace, love, friendship and comfort in one another. What may be seen as somewhat a forbidden and uncharted romance, Cleeton douses her readers to feel the beauty that surrounds Dani and Alex as their friendship soars into a new territory of possibilities.

When it comes to this type of romance, authors usually dismisses the previous relationship and focus solely on the present and in this case of On Broken Wings, Chanel allowed readers to see the love Dani had for her deceased husband and her emotional struggles of sharing and opening her heart. I applaud Chanel Cleeton in that aspect because she made me feel for her characters as they face and tackle their emotions and feelings for one another. So if you are looking for a read that was visceral, breathtaking,raw,uplifting, and special then I urge readers to come aboard and fly with Chanel Cleeton as she soars into your hearts with a romance that is wildly addicting and heartwarming.

Beneath These Shadows is the sixth book of the series but it can most definitely be read as a standalone although past characters of the series are brought back into the mix of the story. New Orleans is a city notorious for it’s nightlife. Who wouldn’t want to visit the Big Easy especially during Mardi Gras? So what happens beneath the shadows of New Orleans? Will an unlikely pair find love?



Eden Matthew has lived all her life in a protective bubble. As one of the illegitimate daughter of a notorious mob boss, Eden never got to experience freedom that is until her father’s right hand man informs her that she must go into hiding as her father is being investigated and targeted by the FBI. It is there she is informed to pack her bags and not make any contact with her father till it is safe. With a new form of identification, Eden decides to go to New Orleans.

Given the fact that Eden has lived a very sheltered life, she didn’t take into account that hotels in New Orleans are booked because of Mardi Gras. So when she went walking along the streets of New Orleans, she finds herself in trouble when it became obvious that she was an easy target for criminals. Luckily for her, Bishop happens to spot Eden and rescues her before any trouble could happen. It is in that moment that Bishop finds himself helping out Eden several more times. Maybe it was her beauty or innocence that attracted Bishop to Eden but in the end, he couldn’t help but fall for her hard.



It didn’t take long for Eden and Bishop to become a couple as he found it easy to fall for her. She was sweet, simple and yet she was bold. Eden is no wallflower as she begins to spread her wings. Slowly, readers begin to see a new side to Eden. A woman learning to fly and gain her independence. But what happens when her time in New Orleans comes to an end and her return back to New York is inevitable? Will Eden discover that her wings are once again clipped? Or will this new Eden learn to soar beneath the shadows and into the light?

Meghan March stays true to her word when she states that she writes unapologetically sexy romance because Beneath These Shadows was that and so much more. I absolutely loved Bishop and Eden’s chemistry. Their transition from friends to couple was undeniably explosive. I loved that Meghan showcased different sides of Bishop. Yes, he was a protective alpha male but he was also understanding and loving. What especially drew me to this story was that Meghan beautifully weaved the sights and sounds of New Orleans in the backdrops of a romance that was taking center stage. So if you are looking for a love story that had heart, steam, suspense and passion then Beneath These Shadows is the book for you.

Beautiful No More is the best out of this series. It not only shows you the side of the oldest Marino brothers, that you have never seen before, if you have read the last 3 books you would know what I mean. Andreas has done everything in his life to keep his family safe and his life running. No serious relationship, since his last didn’t end so well. He wasn’t looking for anything…until the day Cat walked into his office everything changed. He felt attracted to her like he never had before with other woman, not even his ex fiancé. Once Cat had put out in the open what she wanted to hire him for and why, he accepted after he learned someone from his past, could be the reason why ladies have been murdered all over town. Both tried to keep everything professional, until they couldn’t any longer. Their attraction couldn’t kept quiet and they acted on it. They were great together, they just fit well together. Their routine became normal, like they’ve known each other a while. Will Andreas find the killer before someone else ends up dead?

I enjoyed this book, because it not only gives us the Andreas and Cat’s POV, it also puts us in the mind of the killer. We get to see how his mind works and why he does what he does. Of course it puts us front seats on his main obsession with a beautiful woman. This is a great ending of the Marino Brothers series.

Beautiful Regret is Gio’s story, the 2nd to the oldest of the Marino brothers. Go have been living his life, making sure to never be attached to another one. A decade ago the only Lisa, the only woman he ever loved betrayed him. She left for vacation and came back married to the biggest a**hole and son of blue Rasmussen’s of Manhattan. Go was left broken and lost in himself for a little while, because of what she put him through. They seen each other a few times on occasion and the last time was when the Marino’s parents funeral. No matter how Lisa tried to talk to him, he would leave before she got her chance. Years later Lisa is accused of Attempted murder and she had no one else to run to but Gio. Go came to help her, even if he didn’t feel up to it. No matter how much Lisa had hurt him in the past, he knew she wasn’t a liar and a murderer. When Lisa unloaded her years of regret and pain to Gio, he felt sorry for her and promised to help her. It didn’t take them long to take their sexual tension into the bedroom, but Lisa wanted more than Gio could offer. He was straight with her, all he could give her was sex..he was’t ready to give her his heart after what she did to him in the past. Will Gio ever get past what Lisa did to him in the past to have their second chance in love? Read and find out.

This was another action adventure romance, that anyone who loves action will definitely love. Go is just like all the brothers Alpha who love to be in control. He is also a very loving man, once he opens his heart. Once I learned of what Lisa had gone through for years, I understood what she did. She may have been wrong on some instance, but she did what she thought was right at the time. Lisa loves her family and will do anything for them, even giving up her happiness for them. Another great ride from the Marion Brothers.

Beautiful Chase is the second book from the Marino Brothers. It’s about the third to the oldest brother Blaze, the level headed one and most trusted one and the one that does everything by the book as expected. He was also the one responsible for their latest runner. As the bounty hunter, he is trusted to bring her in, in a timely manner. But what he didn’t expect was for trouble to be a beautiful woman named Bella. When Blaze got himself in a bind, Bella showed him kindness after being injured, even as a stranger. Which left him with no choice, but to find out the real story by getting to know her. He wasn’t supposed to get involved, he was suppose to find her and bring her back. But instead he unexpectedly spent time with her and fell in love. Will he figure out a way to help Bella out trouble? Will she forgive him once she finds out who he really is? Read and find out what happens in this action adventure story of finding love.

This is an insta-love story, that will make you believe in love and kindness. Bella is nothing as everyone thought her out to be, so when Blaze had a little glimpse of who Bella could be..he was nothing more than willing to get to know her. The love and chemistry came hard and fast, that once fell everything came into place, they had no where to go but up.

Ronnie had no choice on who her rescuer was, so she ended up being stuck with womanizer Nikko, a person that she had a past with that she wanted to forget. While on her way home after bail was posted, Nikko and Ronnie had little time to talk and had a little adventure. The time spent was just want they need to clear the air between them, they come to find out that the last time they were together ended bad because of one big misunderstanding. With Nikko and Ronnie’s intentions with each other put out in the open, they decide to hang to find out where their feelings would take them. One thing leads to another, sexy and hot sex followed. They had chemistry and feelings for each other and after a little time spent with each other, something more grew between them. Nikko was never a relationship type, but with Ronnie, he wanted more. This was a light and easy read. It focuses on the bounty hunters the Marino Brothers and how they helped Ronnie out of a jam. Ronnie and Nikko both have strong personalities and end up butting heads a lot. But once these two figured out what they really felt for each other, they were sweet and all about protecting each other. Nikko is very much an alpha male that loved to be in control, but with Ronnie he didn’t mind letting go. This was a fun ride, that’s full of adventure with a little hot sex in the mix. ;)
