A book about falling in love, heartaches and finding love again.
Annette is a hard working young woman, who works at a salon to save up for college. Not having her life figured out bothered her and she hoped to figure it all out soon. Then she met Aaron. A handsome man from the reservation, who wore his hair long..but looked so good on him.
Aaron and Annette went on dates and found that it was really easy to talk to each other, like they’ve known each other for years. Every time they hung out it was so laid back, they never had to put too much effort in them. They talked, laughed and enjoyed each other’s company. Then they fell in love, their love for each other grew fast. To Annette it was actually love at first sight. Before they met Aaron enlisted in the army, but when he met Annette he put all that on the back of his mind..until it was close for his departure. Annette’s heart broke, but she understood why he had to leave.
When Aaron left it was heart breaking, they loved each other so much it hurt. At the same time they both promised each other, they didn’t want what they have to end. So while Aaron was gone letters went back and forth, until one day it stopped coming from Aaron. Months past, Annette was hurt and didn’t know what to do. At the same time, she was growing closer to Tim her study partner. She never wanted to start anything with anyone, knowing how much it hurts when it ends. She didn’t realized that when Tim was not around, she missed him. At the same time she still loved Aaron. Until one day she let everything out and broke down while telling Tim about Aaron. Not only has Aaron been there for her through school, but he had been there for her through everything. Tim was there for her whenever she needed him, without expecting anything back. When Tim told Annette he loved her for the first time, she didn’t say it back and told him she needed time. Tim being the great guy he is, he understood.
By the time I was done reading this story, I was crying. When Annette finally made her decision, it was really heartbreaking. No matter what choice she made, she was breaking one’s heart and loving the other. I completely understood her choice, but at the same time it still broke my heart. While one gets his happy ending, the other gets his heart broken. I don’t want to spill the beans, so I just hope that the person she broke, also gets his own book and gets his happy ending. I’ve learned to love each characters, both Tim and Aaron were good men. So neither one deserves to be broken, but in the end it had to be that way.
This book is very well written and even thought it broke my heart, it was also a great story. Thanks for sharing your book with me Marie Fostino, you are a great story teller.
