Stories are meant to be told. Books are meant to be read. And pages of the written word are meant to be felt. So when the ink dries, it's a reminder of what imaginations, secrets, truths, and lies are waiting to be revealed and exposed. And in S.L. Jennings newest release, Ink & Lies, Ms. Jennings has written a friends to lover story where the truth and matters of the heart are meant to be read between the lines.

photo 62e8d180cc276c4d2a3fac7706c73e_zpswo22dwyl.gif“I keep writing for Fiona. Because she is the only person on earth that can decipher my empty words and reveal my soul.”

In this fun, fresh, witty, sarcastic, sweet and sexy tale, Ms. Jennings captures the true raw essence and nature of love. Love between friends and the love between two soul-mates and lovers. She has captured this intense and sweet love that can only be read and felt through pages and pages of the written word.

#inklies

August Rhys Calloway is an author. He has published a book and written several editorial pieces but he is not famous. No one really knows who August Rhys Calloway is but everyone knows Hope Hughes, a famous best-selling romance author. Well it turns out August is Hope Hughes. August has taken upon himself to be a romance author. Romance books sells. Romance aficionados want an amazing love story that will change their lives and having them swooning. And with the pen name, Hope Hughes, August sells thousands of books and has a legion of fans. He sells love stories. Stories that make readers swoon and lust for a hero. Stories for hopeless romantics. Stories that are built on lies. Well lies and imaginations. Stories that he knows can sell.

photo ea1c49c5395320daaa1db79a9a5ae9_zpsdnpfebgz.gif“Before this moment, before me and her. Before kiss-burned thighs and peach-tipped nipples and honey -flavored lips, I’d never known love. Because to me, love was a fantasy. A fairytale. And Fiona is and always has been the happiest of ever afters. She’s my ghost. My reason for trusting in something as intangible and lucid as the air whistling through my clenched teeth as I push inside paradise. And, as I dip my head to kiss her through the pleasure of drowning in her ocean, the pain of letting go of all my inhibitions and insecurities, I know that for the first time, I irrevocably, intensely, insanely believe.”

So who is the real August Rhys Calloway? Well he is just an ordinary author who has two important people in his life. His grandfather and his best friend, Fiona. Fiona is the one person who truly knows the real Rhys. Fiona is someone who will be there for him in an instant. They are each others confidant. There is no Rhys without Fiona. And so what happens when Rhys finally starts to realize that love stories are indeed real when he begins to see his best friend in a whole new light. Will Rhys be able to write and put into perspective of what Fiona means to him? Or will this hero discover that love stories in books is not the same in real life?

photo 1b472126bb76af2b2a93844c87277b_zps2ps3gyky.gif“I once told myself that I wanted to write something that made Fi fall in love. And now that I see that it wasn’t the words I wanted her to hold so dearly that she couldn’t help but weep as she read. I wanted to write something to make Fiona fall in love with me. Not my pretty words or my pretty face or any of the other inconsequential bullshit I had deemed important. I just wanted her to love me, her Rhys.”

Ink & Lies was a fun, witty and sweet. Ms. Jennings truly delivered a story that was filled with humor, vulnerability and raw characters. She did not just give us an ordinary friends to lover story but she gave readers a fun spin on the happily ever after. It is often said we make our own stories and ending. So in this story, the ink is fresh and never runs dries because the story of the happily ever after is how we choose to write it so in a sense we each have to get in touch with our own inner Hope Hughes. And all we need to do is tap into our inner hopeless romantic and write that line, page, chapter and journey in our life. And just maybe we can end our story with a HEA ending. So if you are in the mood for a light entertaining sweet read and are a hopeless romantic then this book is for you because SL Jennings truly delivers a love story with her heartfelt prose that will make us laugh, cry, swoon and smile.

This book. This story. This author. These characters. Just wow! Wow is an understatement to describe how much I LOVE this book HARD. Karina Halle has always been one of those authors whom I instantly loved from the get go. She has this gift to make her readers FEEL and The Lie did just that and so much more.

photo f4a77dbc79be6e7437055ea256cb2d_zpsybqxwclg.gif“ I’m asking myself things I don’t have any answers to other than: Because I love Natasha. It always comes down to that terrible truth. I love her. So much. Too much. Enough to make me throw everything away. Because I could no longer live the lie. But the truth doesn’t just hurt, it destroys.”

Raw. Heartbreaking. Emotional. Touching. Stunning. And utterly devastatingly beautiful. The Lie is not just an ordinary love story of falling in love. No, this book is about what it means to truly love. It is about learning to accept things that you can't control. Learning to let go of the guilt. Learning to let go of the lie that consumes you. Learning to see that the truth is the only thing that can truly set your mind, soul, and heart free. The Lie is a story that encompasses every raw facets of love from the ugly, the bad, the good and the in between moments. It is about stripping yourself bare. Exposing your flaws, feelings, vulnerability and heart on the line. It is about a love that started off with a lie. A lie that ruined lives. A lie that was beautiful. A lie that was tragic. A lie that lead to devastation. A lie that wrecked, consumed, destroyed and burned with so much passion and intensity. And a lie that lead to closure. A lie that lead to the truth. And the truth is that normal, easy, and simple can be fine for some. But a love that is painful, devastating, difficult, life-changing can be the biggest clarity of how extraordinary and meaningful that love can be. It is a love that cannot be lied since it transcends everything and meaningful in your life. And for Brigs McGregor his lie lead to the biggest truth.

#TheLie1

Brigs McGregor did only one wrong thing in his life. He fell in loved hard. He fell in loved with his assistant. He wanted her. He loved her. And she was his lie. His truth. She was everything that brought him happiness. But his love for Natasha was not simple. It was not easy. It was complicated because he was a married man with a son. And so when he finally had the courage to tell his wife the truth, it ruined him. His truth lead to the destruction of two lives. His wife and son. And so Brigs McGregor's love for Natasha Trudeau was a reminder of how wrong their love was.

photo 17355b5348622c394ec641981b21e9_zps3lnjs1x3.gif“You’d think that memories of love would feel just like the real thing, but these memories never feel anything like love. Love is good. Love is kind. Patient. Pure. So they say. Our love was a mistake from the start. A beautiful, life-rendering mistake.”

Natasha loved one man. And this man consumed every fiber of her being. He was her everything. He filled her heart, gave her clarity, and most importantly he ignited this tangible and palpable burning connection that they could only understand. But when their path to the happily ever after was engulfed with destruction, their loved crashed. It tore them apart. But their love for each other never died. It was a painful reminder of what if.

photo f4a77dbc79be6e7437055ea256cb2d_zpsybqxwclg.gif“Our love was wrong. A lie we told ourselves. And it cost us the world. As much as it stung to hear it , as much as it made me lose myself, it was well-deserved. With us, the truth didn’t just hurt. It killed.”

#TheLie

photo 17355b5348622c394ec641981b21e9_zps3lnjs1x3.gif“That love destroyed so much. It destroyed me and I let it willingly tear me apart. And then I destroyed every last good thing in my life. Memories of love are a poison.”

And so fast forward to four years later, Natasha thought she was ready to move on and start all over. That is until she sees him. Four years of emotions, sadness, hurt, and love comes flooding back to her. His presence was a reminder of what she took away from him. But as much as she tries to runs away from him, she can't run away from the truth. She still loves him. And the same can be said of Brigs McGregor.

photo f4a77dbc79be6e7437055ea256cb2d_zpsybqxwclg.gif“This is unlike anything I’ve felt in this world. This is holding fire and stars and electricity in your burning hands . This is magic and light running through your veins, a switch being turned on, turning you into everything primal and basic and real. This is us.”

#TheLie2

photo 17355b5348622c394ec641981b21e9_zps3lnjs1x3.gif“I wasn’t naïve. I knew what I was doing and all the risks, and I did it anyway, the whole world be damned, because I loved him. All because of love.”

Brigs and Natasha's love for each other is pure. It is a love that cannot be lied. It is the kind of love that stains your soul, mind, and heart. A love that is chaos, destruction, beauty, and life-changing. And for Brigs and Natasha it is a complicated love that can be uncomplicated. The lie that becomes the truth. So now four years later, can Natasha and Brigs find the closure to heal their hearts? Can Brigs let go of the guilt and the torment that haunts him? And can Natasha set her heart free? Can she finally get to love the man with no darkness clouding them?

photo f4a77dbc79be6e7437055ea256cb2d_zpsybqxwclg.gif“She gives me light. She holds on and tells me that I’m a good man and that I deserve to be forgiven, deserve to let go . She tells me beautiful things, and I feel her belief, I feel her strength even though I know the darkness has her too.”

As I stated earlier, THIS BOOK was everything that I wanted. I wanted raw emotions that will gut you to the core. I wanted a romance that is no ordinary love story. I wanted a love story that transcends. I wanted to feel, to breathe, and to crash. And Karina Halle delivered that and so much more. She made her readers see that LOVE is something you can't control. It is a force of nature that can destroy and change you at the same time. LOVE can be a whirlwind of ups and downs. But in the end, love is knowing that you having someone holding your hand through the battles that life throws at you. Love is about acceptance. Love is letting go. Love is knowing that your love only speaks the truth.

So if you want a story that strips you raw and leaves you vulnerable and exposed, and has the power to make you feel alive and see beauty and light at the end of the tunnel, then THE LIE is the book for. Be prepared to have your heart destroyed but know that Karina Halle will slowly mend the pieces as she grips and tugs every raw emotions with her stunning and gorgeous prose.

When it comes to Author Penelope Ward’s books, I am always in. She is one of my go to Authors, she can do no wrong when it comes to her writing. Every book she had written sucks me in right from the beginning and ROOMHATE is no different. The story of childhood friends Justin and Amelia was beautiful.

 photo RoomHate-Teaser.jpg

As the story goes back and forth from present to past, we get glimpses of how life was with Justin and Amelia as kids. They were the best of friends and inseparable. How close they were and what pulled them apart. Then going through their adult life with hate and love for each other. When Justin and Amelia are pushed to meeting in one place with so much memory of their childhood, they had to learn to tolerate each other. With each and every day that passes, feelings are shared and walls start to come down little by little. Will forgiveness happen and give way to their future together? Or apart?

I loved how Justin and Amelia’s story went back and forth to their childhood memories, their childhood together was so sweet and adorable. Once they have finally grown up, the sweetness started up and again. Justin may have started as an angry grump, but his sweetness came out little by little. He was not only an adorable man, but he will also melt any readers' hearts over and over. Maybe even make you SQUEEE. lol. I love this book, this very addicting book and with such addicting characters.

ROOMHATE was nothing like I expected. It’s a story between two childhood best friends. Inseparable in their teens; partners in crime. Both had to endure a heart-wrenching loss on a family. It’s a humorous love story, but there’s also a lesson to be learned. There’s so much sexual tension, bantering, and indecisiveness. And also some precious moments you wouldn’t want to pass up on.

Amelia has a mother who sleeps around shamelessly, which is the reason why she never knew who her father was. Her family is broken and only had her grandma Nana to look up to. But when a she loses Nana, her world shattered. Her grandma took in a little boy who is in the same situation as Amelia while she was alive, Justin Banks. He was treated as if he was Nana’s own, and became Amelia’s backbone. They did everything together just like siblings, but that didn’t last long…

Justin’s upbringing was not something he likes to talk about. But with Amelia, there were no secrets between the two growing up. If that’s what they both like to think. He was always into music. Loves writing lyrics and playing with his guitar. The songs he’s written were inspired by none other than his best friend. Pursuing his dream meant leaving behind the people he loves.

As they grew older, it was obvious that one would develop feelings for the other but Amelia never thought she would be the first. Or so she thought… He wasn’t supposed to fall for her… She’s sweet and innocent, and Amelia never thought that she could be his type. Their relationship is not something you can take mildly. It’s the type that no matter how many years apart they may have been, it can always be rendered, as if they never were miles away from each other. But both deny that fact, for two people determined to have it all, a hands-off arrangement can only last so long before one of them cracks. Especially with the huge anvil being dropped on them by Nana, they have no choice but to at least try to be civil. To try move past the hurt that Amelia caused Justin. There’s a secret that they are both hiding from each other that could change everything. Once that is out of the bag, will it be all rainbows and unicorns for them, or a tragic end of the friendship they once had? With the passion the two share running hotter than either imagined, both of them is going to have to compromise, or else run the risk of losing more than their hearts.

I truly adored ROOMHATE!!! I would immensely recommend this to readers who takes delight in reading friends-to-lovers books. Looking forward to reading Penelope Ward’s next project.

Sizzling. Erotic. Sensual. Beautiful. And oh so fucking sexy. If you must know I love and adore Kate Meader. She is one of the authors who I know I can turn to to help satisfy any romance craving I have. And in her newest installment to the Tall, Dark, and Texan Series, Kate blew my mind on how fabulous Taking the Score is. Seriously, I devoured this book in one sitting and couldn't wait to reread this book again. That is how much I LOVE THIS BOOK HARD!!!! If I could shout to the romance community to read this book, I would.

photo c814ccdee51388786c9c5d6385853f_zpsxeu20dqq.gif“No kiss had ever tasted this good. No kiss had ever incited her in this way. His tongue swept through her mouth with possessive, velvety strokes that sent swirls of desire eddying in her gut. Her fantasy of kissing him had always been tame. Guy was a dweeb, after all. But this kiss… Brody Kane had skills in the mouth-to-mouth department. ”

Taking the Score was just perfect. It had sass, sizzling chemistry, a fun and sexy storyline to keep readers entertained. Everything about this book satisfied my Brazen junkie addiction. If we are taking the score, then I will have say that this book is 5 stars worthy!!!! And how could it not be when you have a geeky alpha hunk, a tabby cat named Kevin, and a hot gorgeous heroine who is in touch with her inner sexy bad girl.

photo 5a09ee9867e64832724551b3fb6698_zpsgzwsflzd.gif“Mojo firmly restored, and the one woman he wanted to use it on was out of bounds. Worse, she had turned everything upside down— a homeless stripper-slash-assistant with an unhinged cat. ”

Emma Strickland is just trying to stay afloat financially as takes on the responsibility of handling her baby sister's debt. In the day, Emma works as the personal assistant to Texan property tycoon, Brody Kane. She is on top of her game when it comes to organization and making sure that everything is in order for her boss. But when it comes to her personal life, Emma is just struggling. All of her savings went into helping paying off her sister's debt and on top of that, Emma has to take another job. A job that she dreads with a passion. She becomes a waitress at a strip club.

photo c814ccdee51388786c9c5d6385853f_zpsxeu20dqq.gif“She ran her tongue along the sensitive vein on the underside, a teasing lick, and then, she took. Swirled her tongue around the swollen head and sucked what was hers. His cock, his essence, all of him. Inch by magnificent inch, she stole down his length, wishing she could take more without gagging. Arousal pulsated through her in an inexorable build. ”

While Emma lacks the right wardrobe with her frumpy and thrift store attire, Brody Kane can't help but be drawn to Emma. He fantasizes what his mouth, his hands and his cock could be doing. Brody knows to keep his fantasies about Emma to himself that is until he runs into her at the strip club when he takes a potential client there. His mousy good girl personal assistant turns out to be a sexy vixen. And Brody Kane soon discovers that the girl he has been fantasizing is the woman made for him as she gives him a personal lap dance that he would never forget.

#TakingTheScore

After a taste of Emma's mouth and body, Brody wanted her to be his only. And so he does what any possessive alpha male would do, he is willing to pay off her debt and compensates the strip club of having Emma to himself. Brody is well aware that Emma is in dire need of money and financial help but she is too proud to accept a helping hand. And in such, Brody is forced to work a deal with Emma.

photo 5a09ee9867e64832724551b3fb6698_zpsgzwsflzd.gif“You are the most beautiful woman I know, inside and out. In bad suits and sexy stripper threads. In your giving heart and in every single thing you’ve done to protect the people you care about. I was hurt once and my knee-jerk reaction was to assume I’d be hurt again. I’m usually a better analyst of a situation, but my sore heart wasn’t up for another pounding.” He laced his fingers in hers and placed them over his heart, now slapping violently against his rib cage. “This bruised ticker belongs to you, Emma. You own me, body and soul. Every piece of me is yours to love or destroy. I love you. God, how I fucking adore you.”

Brody doesn't like the idea of Emma being homeless so he takes her to live with him. Along with Emma comes her lazy cat, Kevin. As Emma and Brody cohabitate as roommates, they soon find that they have one thing in common. Sex. Hot steamy passionate sex that will make your toes curl.

Together Brody and Emma are just perfect for each other. They balance each other out intellectually, physically, and sexually. Their chemistry was tangible and palpable from the start. The heat between them was explosive since both of them love their hot and dirty sex. And as Brody and Emma begin to spend more time with each other, deep feelings begins to emerge. Cracks were beginning to appear in Emma's armor and Brody was finally able to see that Emma is unlike any woman he has met. There is no hidden agenda and motive when it comes to Emma. She doesn't see Brody as her golden ticket to money but what she does see is a man that she has fallen hard for. But will Emma be able to let Brody in fully into her heart? And will she be able to accept his help financially?

photo c814ccdee51388786c9c5d6385853f_zpsxeu20dqq.gif““Me inside you. This is the truth, your truth. Not what you were before.” He withdrew and stroked again. Long, thick, consuming . His mouth, set to torture, claimed hers and destroyed every last barrier. “It’s this honesty you show me when I’m inside you. Nothing else matters. Just this.” On his face was a look of such tenderness it gave her no place to hide. Love for him bloomed in her chest, and with each pump of his powerful hips, she recited an internal mantra. No regrets. No regrets. Because no matter how it ended, she would never forget that he loved her with his body and his acceptance, even if he’d never said the words ”

Taking the Score had the perfect balance of heat, friendship, sexual tension, drama, and hot passionate sex. I loved everything about this book from it raw characters and sexy storyline. Kate Meader has truly cemented herself as author who knows how to deliver romance with heat and a sexy erotic twist to satisfy any brazen junkie addicts like myself. So if you are looking for a hot passionate love tale that was sinfully written then I highly recommend you to read Taking the Score.

A sexy touching emotional tale of finding love a second time around!!! Samanthe Beck has once again charmed her readers with this beautiful and emotional tale of unexpected love. I have always been a fan of Samanthe Beck and in her newest release Emergency Engagement, Ms. Beck tugs all the right amount of sexiness and emotions to make hearts swoon as readers fall in love with the story of Beau Montgomery and Savannah Smith.

photo fb52f1fa547443d5e72e27eabb03d1_zpsn7idebb0.gif“She couldn’t pinpoint the moment when she’d lost the battle to keep her emotions on a safe path, but she had. She’d fallen, and there wasn’t a thing in the world she could do to reverse course, even knowing he’d sooner cut out his heart than risk loving again. Hopefully her heart was more resilient. Hopefully she could be here for him while , he needed her, and then find the strength to get on a plane and move on with her life.”

Emergency Engagement was your fun, fresh, and emotionally charged romance. Beau Montgomery never expected to find himself engaged to his sexy neighbor, Savannah when he decided to bring over her misplaced mail that was delivered to his apartment. Surprised to see a stranger in her apartment, Savannah accidentally hurls a paint can and hits Beau in the head. Well if Savannah thought her day couldn't get any worst, Savannah was taken aback when her parents thought Beau was her fiance since she told her sister that she was expecting an engagement from the man she was seeing. Not only does her parents think she is engaged to Beau but also Beau's parents as well when they stumbled upon Savannah's parents in the apartment complex.

#EmergencyEngagement

So when Beau and Savannah are in the ER, Beau suggests to her to keep up the charade of their pretend engagement so his parents wouldn't worry about his love life. He suggests that they can call off their engagement after the New Years. Sounds like an easy plan. But nothing is that simple when feelings and attractions are involved. And for Beau and Savannah, their lie turned out to be the biggest truth. The truth that they are falling in love for each other. So in this case of emergency love, can Savannah make Beau realize that love is about taking a chance and letting someone in? Or will Beau's fear of falling in love again be his downfall? Can this love between them be resuscitated? Or will they be finding themselves in a love affair that is on its way to flatline?

photo fb52f1fa547443d5e72e27eabb03d1_zpsn7idebb0.gif“You’ve in love with this strong, independent, don’t-rely-on-anyone man.”

I absolutely adored this sweet and sexy second chance romance. Samanthe Beck knew what strings to pull when it comes reviving a broken heart. For Beau Montgomery, falling in love again is a painful reminder of what he lost. Not only did he lose a wife but also his baby daughter in a fatal accident. So the memories of loving again makes him fearful. He never expected to fall hard in love again. But Savannah Smith was able to make his heart beat once again. She brought color in his monotone life. And also one thing he never expected. LOVE. So if you are ready to get lost in the world where a paramedic might discover that he might be the one needing resuscitation when it come love, then I highly recommend you to read Emergency Engagement.

Before I begin my review, let me just say that I LOVED THE COVER. The cover alone was so gorgeous that I instantly had to read the blurb. And once I read the blurb, I was sold and had to discover why my fellow co-blogger is a fan of Staci Hart.

photo 0ffc45ca995b6b412db44ae80c14ee_zpsok78rklv.gif“Every day, always. She lived in my thoughts, in my heart, present in nearly every moment of my life. She was my ghost , haunting me, and I couldn’t escape. I didn’t know if I even wanted to. It was my penance.”

Well it didn't take long to discover why my co-blogger is a fan. I was instantly drawn to the flawed characters. I love reading and getting lost in a story that is layered with vulnerability, grit, raw emotions and second chances. When a story can evoke such emotions from it's readers, I consider that a winning book!! And Last Call clearly had that and so much more. With her raw prose, Staci Hart allowed readers to understand that no is perfect. Each one of us has our own fears and flaws. And that makes us human. Real. Relatable.

#LastCall

And Last Call was as real as it can get. The story of Rose and Patrick can be summed up in one word. Complicated. Complicated is just the tip of the ice berg to describe this couple. Patrick and Rose had a past. And their past relationship was constantly in the backdrop of the status quo of their current situation. It was at a standstill. It held them back emotionally and at the same time helped shaped them. The past is something that they both wish they could change. As much as they wished they could do things differently, the present is staring right at them. It's a neon light flashing before them. To move forward and try again.. one last call to get it right or the final last call for Rose and Patrick.

photo 0da9277ea14f8b74dcb67aead09b6b_zpskqlti0kb.gif“I suspect if there is a chance for you here, it’s the last one. Last call.”“Last call,” I echoed, knowing it was the truth. I had to step up and order or walk out. And I wasn’t ready to leave.”

Last Call was more of a slow burn kind of second chance romance. It is about experiencing the hurt, the loss, the hope, the love, the sadness, and the passion. With any kind of relationship, it is about experiencing and letting things take it course. It is about building that trust to let your guards down. Learning to communicate. To forgive. And most importantly, learning to let love take over.

photo 0ffc45ca995b6b412db44ae80c14ee_zpsok78rklv.gif“It was real. No more walking away. No more fighting him, fighting us. I saw the path behind us, saw the path that lay before us, and I knew we would survive, as long as we never gave up.”

Staci Hart has definitely inked her way onto my list of authors to watch out for. She has weaved a story that will attract any romance book junkie. Ms. Hart will capture her readers attention as she etches a romance story that can leave you yearning and begging for more. Being this is the first book that I have read from this author, I can definitely say that it won't be my last. So if you are looking for a story where your flaws are perfect for the heart that is meant to love you then get ready to fall in love with this imperfect love story that is perfect.

Last Call is the last book of A Habit Series. Since I’ve read book one With A Twist, I always loved the story of the group of friends who closer than a family could be. They relied on each other and tried to always do things together. As they all spend time at Habit’s we get to know each and every character we have come to love. I’ve enjoyed Cooper and Maggie, West and Lily, and now….Rose and Patrick. These two had a past together, that Patrick broke beyond repair. As Patrick works hard on hopefully getting Rose back, Rose tries dating again. While Patrick works on his patience, Rose tries to keep her heart away from Patrick. How will these two ever survive a life without each other, when they know no one else can piece their heart together but each other? These is a beautiful story of love and forgiveness and second chances. This book is full of laughs as all Bad Habits story has and enough love to go around.

One of my favorite series is the Searching For Series and I was so excited to discover that Jennifer Probst wrote a sweet installment to this beloved series. And let me just say that I. Am. In. Love. I absolutely adored Searching For Mine.

photo ca28e853f479ca26e3b6edc6047a50_zpsew7qtyxc.gif“He’d never been like his brother, craving some type of mythical connection with a woman that didn’t exist. No, he believed hard in the three B’s when it came to dating. They were part of his own personal Bible he’d created to keep things uncomplicated. Beauty. Body. Boobs.”

Searching For Mine was sexy, sweet, charming, and absolutely beautiful. I loved that Ms. Probst kinnected all the right elements to give readers a story built on depth, love, family, and second chances. In this beautiful tale of second chances, Connor Dunkle is 38 years old and enrolled in college. He is finally taking charge of his life to make a better life for himself. He is on his way of earning his degree but there is one class or in this case a Professor who is making it difficult to pass.

#SearchingForMine

Ella Blake is a single mom and a professor at the local Verily College. Newly divorced, Ella has little time for a love life since she wants to be a good mother to her son, Luke. At home, she is a complete softy when it comes to her ten year old son but when it comes to her students, she is one tough Professor. And Connor Dunkle is the one student who is having a hard time passing her class.

photo ca28e853f479ca26e3b6edc6047a50_zpsew7qtyxc.gif“Connor made the only decision available because if he didn’t kiss her in this moment, he’d spend the rest of his nights grieving the lost opportunity of a lifetime. So he kissed her.”

As it turns out Connor and Ella are next door neighbors. And when Connor sees Ella's son being bullied by a group of teens, Connor steps in and helps him. Soon Connor finds himself helping out Ella and Luke. And as the three of them begins to spend more quality time together, feelings begin to blossom between Ella and Connor. For most of his life, Connor never thought he wanted to settle down and be committed but as he spends more time with Ella, will he realized that she was what he was searching for? Will another kinnection be made?

photo ca28e853f479ca26e3b6edc6047a50_zpsew7qtyxc.gif“She had done a terrible, awful, ridiculous thing. She had fallen in love with Connor Dunkle.”

Searching For Mine was another great addition to this amazing and sexy series. I love that Jennifer Probst gave her readers a love story between two people who didn't know what they were searching for. I loved how the love unfolded between Connor and Ella so naturally that readers could feel the real honest love that was brewing between them. I especially loved that Ms. Probst also highlighted that there is no such thing as being too old to go back to school. So if you are looking for a sweet and sexy second chance romance, then Searching For Mine is the book for you. As always, Jennifer continues to spellbind her readers with her magical prose of kinnecting the right dots for one unforgettable romance!!!

Wow. I don't even know where to begin or put into perspective on how utterly raw, beautiful, touching, and heartbreaking The Mind by Kate Stewart is. I am blown away by the sheer force and magnitude of raw emotions swirling in this novella. My heart, soul, and mind have been consumed by the story of Grant and Rose.

#TheMind

If you haven't read The Fall then I highly recommend you to because that book was just as emotional, heartbreaking, and devastatingly beautiful. Also, you would have read about Grant and Rose's story and relationship in that book and so when you read The Mind, you would have a much better understanding of their relationship and how it all began.

The beginning. The start of Grant and Rose. Honestly, there are some authors who can pull off writing a love at first sight storyline and some not so much. But Kate Stewart pulled it off and so much more. Right off the opening pages and till the very last page, Kate consumed me. Her gorgeous and stunning prose gripped my heart and mind. Every raw emotions were captured and felt throughout the pages. Kate didn't leave any stone unturned. She gutted her readers. She made them FEEL. Feel the spark. The hope. The fear. The sadness. The uncertainty. The truth. And most importantly, to FEEL THE LOVE. A love that is so pure. So simple. So understanding. So magical. A love that only speaks the truth. A love that is unforgettable. A love that will stain your heart, have a piece of your soul, and forever be etched into your mind.

photo 7681f02994633e50f4f7adb3416b48_zpsk8kcis2q.gif“Please, Grant, take me.”“I intend to, Rose. I intend to take all of you: your heart, soul, body, and mind. Even when I do have all of you, it still won’t be enough.”

Kate Stewart did not only write a heartbreaking and beautiful tale of love but she was able to capture the essence of her characters and brought them to life. Instantly, I loved Grant. Everything about him made me fall in love with him hard. Yes, I loved Grant and so you could imagine how emotional I got reading this book. Grant's confidence and love for Rose was earth shattering. It was the kind of love you thought you could only find and read in fairytales and see in the movies. And so to read a LOVE STORY that is so pure, simple, and honest, my heart was captured by Grant. They say a love so powerful can never be forgotten. It doesn't dies but lives on. And so Kate Stewart did that and so much more. My mind and heart fell in loved with the story of Rose and Grant.

photo 7681f02994633e50f4f7adb3416b48_zpsk8kcis2q.gif“Why are you so intent on forever with me?” He looked at his lap on an exhale before he turned his heavy gaze to me. “Because that’s what my heart told me the second I looked at you. And for the first time in my life, I’m letting it lead the way.”

What else is there to say but go read The Fall and The Mind. Get lost and consumed with Kate Stewart's characters and storyline. Get ready to feel the love. Feel your heart racing and pumping as you get consumed with the whirlwind of raw emotions. Get ready for the unthinkable. Get ready for the heartbreak. But most importantly, get ready to fall in LOVE with the story of Grant and Rose.

photo 7681f02994633e50f4f7adb3416b48_zpsk8kcis2q.gif“For the first time in my life, I was letting the romantic reign and it felt incredible. I was lost in love and I didn’t give a damn how hard I’d fallen back into reality the last time.”

Kate~ Thank you again for writing another beautiful, heartbreaking, and endearing story. Thank you for writing a character like Grant. Thank you for gifting us another story that I know comes from your heart. And most importantly thank you for holding my heart and mind hostage in this unforgettable love story.

 photo LIES THAT DEFINE US_zpss8lrvz4q.jpg

Lies That Define Us is about two broken, lost souls; a very emotional love story of discovering the true definition of love.

Ari has been through hell and escaping the place she was held captive for a long time making her a timid girl. All she ever wanted was to be free and to stay far away from the man who’s responsible for kidnapping her and forcing her into marrying someone she doesn’t love. She has to be careful of not being found, or it’ll be the end of her life. These bad guys are involved in drugs and will not let anyone get in the way of their illegal business. As soon as she has the chance to leave it all behind, she takes it without ever looking back.

As for Liam, he is Mr. Hot and Cold. He pushes anyone away that gets closer to his heart; it was broken once and will never be put back together. He can have any women he wants but never commits to a relationship. Having left his hometown took a big chunk of his heart. The hurt he had to deal with in the past is the reason why he’s very closed off.

Ari meets a couple, named Ollie and Talia, who is willing to help in any way they can to get her off the streets since that’s where Ari was found. Before Ari knows it, she’s thrust into Liam who is apathetic, self-pitying, and a temperamental guy. Together they somehow make it work living under the same roof. With the bickering back and forth, the tension between the two makes you want to keep reading. The unbearable sexual agitation made me more anxious to dive into the depth of their emotions. From there both Ari and Liam’s lives start to unravel, the once long-kept secrets are slowly revealed as they both get to know each other.

As they both struggle over the chaos that the people in their past lives have created. Ari thought her freedom was right in the palm of her hands but she was wrong. Will Liam be there to catch her when she falls and prove to her that what he feels is real?

I highly recommend this book to all readers who’d want to be held captive until the last page.

☆☆☆☆ 4.5 Stars ☆☆☆☆

The Lies That Define Us is a total different feel from the other books. This one is little bit of a suspense romance. I really enjoyed reading it and getting a glimpse of Mathias and Remy while meeting new characters. I loved Liam Wade, he was such a great character with so much depth emotions that loved deeply.

 photo TLTDU-Teaser.jpg

Liam was broken, betrayed by the two people that he loved the most. Moving on with his life was hard, he became bitter and jack*ss. When he met Ari he kept up with his grumpy moods not wanting to get close to anyone, but being around Ari broke him down little by little. They both tried to stay out of each other away, but love sneaked up on them. Will Liam and Jade give what they are feeling a try? Read and find out.

I truly enjoyed this beautiful story of love and kindness. No matter how much Liam tried to be mean to Ari, he always did little things that was out of kindness. He may have started as a bitter person, but he became such a man around Ari. Ari brought out the beast in him and the best in him. She was his savior and he was hers. Love it.

First and foremost, there is no some sort of love for this book because I f*cking LOVED this book hard!!!! Yes, Melanie Harlow has made me so happy crazy in love with Some Sort of Love. I even had to message Melanie and let her know that I am banging my head as to why I didn't start this series earlier because after reading this third installment, I am seriously addicted. More like obsessed with anything relating to the Nixon ladies.

photo 01ba55ec1b0ea164f134ff52d3edf8_zpsvkyvgy5r.gif“Everything about her was hot—the way she straddled my lap and lowered herself on to me slowly, like she wanted to savor every inch. The way she took me in so deep, the expression on her face a mix of rapture and pain. The way she moved her hips over mine, in rhythmic, undulating motions that had me fighting the urge to come inside a minute.”

Some Sort of Love was fun, sexy, raw, emotional, touching and honest. Right off the opening pages, I felt Melanie Harlow really knew how to capture her readers attention when she presented such vulnerable, raw, and honest characters. I love when an author can capture the hearts and tug all the right emotional chords of her readers and Melanie Harlow did just that and more. She allowed her readers to see a young intelligent single 30 year old woman trying to find the person that is right for her. And also a young single father juggling work and his parental duties to his son.

#SomeSortOfLOVE

I honestly don't want to say much in this review because the beauty of this story is experiencing the ups and downs of dating and being in a relationship. And the dating world and beginning stages of romance can be fun but it also can be a reminder that it's all about finding that balance and love in your life. What I especially loved about the story of Jillian and Levi is that we get two adults who knew that this connection between them is just right. They fit perfectly for each other emotionally and sexually. And as scary as any relationship can be, it's about taking that leap of trust to have that person enter your life but also your children's life. And for Levi, his fear and honesty was so welcoming because it allowed readers to see him so vulnerable. Vulnerable to guilt, fear, and a second chance to love.

photo 7681f02994633e50f4f7adb3416b48_zpsk8kcis2q.gif“I loved that he was being honest with me and not trying to string me along just because the sex was good. I loved his sense of humor and his dirty mouth and his concern about being a gentleman. And maybe it was superficial or sexist, but I loved how tall he was and the way he carried me around and took command of my body—it made me feel beautiful and feminine and cherished. And I loved the way he loved his son with all his heart—even if it meant there was less of it for me.”

Levi's character was portrayed so honest, raw, and vulnerable. I loved that Ms. Harlow stripped down Levi for readers to see a single father who is just trying to be a good father. A father who is trying to balance and work through the needs of his autistic son. A father who feels guilty at times. And most importantly, a man just trying to find the balance and happiness in his life.

#SomeSortOfLove1

And throughout this journey of finding the balance, I loved that Ms. Harlow allowed us to see that everyone is flawed and no one is perfect. Every relationship has its ups and downs. And just like Levi and Jillian who were trying to find that some sort of balance in their life, it's all about compromise and learning to let go of that fear. And for Levi Brooks, his some of sort of love was the girl who made him feel alive.

photo 01ba55ec1b0ea164f134ff52d3edf8_zpsvkyvgy5r.gif“My heart pounded hard inside my chest, but it wasn’t just from exertion. It was from feeling alive— fucking bursting with it. I felt like I could scale a mountain, swim an ocean, slay a dragon. It struck me how empty sex had been during the last few years, just a release of tension and nothing more. No feeling of wanting to consume a woman’s body the way I wanted to consume Jillian’s, of wanting to please her for my sake as well as hers, not just to make sure the score was even.”

So if you are looking for a story where you can fall head over heels in love with a man that will not only make you his Friday girl but his everyday girl, then Some Sort of Love is the book for you. With her fun, sexy, and playful storyline, Melanie Harlow definitely knows how to deliver a happy crazy love story!!! What else is there to say but get ready to LOVE Jillian and Levi's second chance romance story!!
