Love Triangles...you either love them or hate them. I am one of those readers who has mixed feelings about them. Keeping that in mind, I still wanted to read One Is A Promise since that blurb from Pam Godwin was so enticing and also the fact that I adore this author’s way of drawing deep raw emotions from her readers.
Love isn’t a choice. Nor is life. We connect, or we don’t connect. We live, and we die. There is no forever. The real fight is in making the best of it, making a difference, and appreciating the small glimmers of happiness. ”One Is A Promise is not your typical love story as this book takes you on emotional and sensual ride. The writing was more than promising as it was phenomenal. Pam has this masterful visceral way of drawing readers to be intoxicated with her characters and the story that is being taken place. Two men and one woman and yet your heart is torn. Each men were complete opposites and yet had something to offer to the heroine. I was completely torn as to which man should I be rooting for. Normally in a love triangle, I would have already would have picked the guy that I was rooting for at this halfway point in the book, but I couldn’t picked one for the life of me. This pull of emotions of the past and present was a tug of war that clearly should have one winner. And yet, what happens when the rope breaks… who is the winner? The past or present? Well the answer is I guess we will wait and see in the next installment.

Pam Godwin not only intoxicated me but she has bewitched me with her sensual and tangible prose. Every word and action in this book was palpable from the start. Pam leaves no stone unturned as she held your emotions hostage. This book was more than promising as it was beyond what I expected. It was a symphony of raw emotions where past and present collides in a dramatic fashion. So if you are in need of a book that will have you tangled up, then this is book for you. Get ready for one shocking cliffhanger ending.
