Olivia and Berkeley are BACK and they are engaged!!!! Blushing picks off where it last left off In Bloom, and Katie Delahanty once again has me smitten with her writing and story-telling. The beloved cast of characters that brought laughter, life, and fun into the lives of Olivia and Berkeley are back with a few new secondary characters to liven up the story.
When Berkeley is cast for a lead role opposite of his ex-girlfriend, problems soon begin to arise since in this "Hollywood business," the truth of his actual real-life relationship with Olivia must be kept hidden from the public. And to top it, due to scheduling conflicts, sometimes these two found themselves separated. This is not how the newly engaged couple want to start off their engagement so Berkeley was able to manage to get Olivia a job on the movie set so they can be together. But when there are outside forces trying to sabotage their relationship, can Olivia and Berkeley stand firm in their relationship and show that love can conquer all?
Blushing was a gem of a read. I enjoyed this book and it was a great follow-up to the first book. Ms. Delahanty did an amazing job in keeping this book fresh, light, and innovative. She was able to add humor, wit, and sassiness into the story-line with it quirky cast of characters. What I love about this book was that I was able to see the love of Olivia and Berkeley continue to grow and mature. Overall, for all you Olivia and Berkeley fans this book will leave you having a big fat smile on your face.
