We all heard the saying that "love isn't finding someone you can live with, it's finding someone you can't live without." But what happens when the person you fall for isn't ready to catch you just yet? Do you let go and give up when the person you love is drowning in pain and hurt? If love is worth fighting for, can love be the answer? Is it enough to heal the invisible and visible scars? And when your heart is on the line, are you ready to trust that person to catch your fall?

Catch and Release by Ella Fox is not about a story of prince charming coming to the rescue of a damsel in distress. Instead it's a story of a woman who is willing to stand by the man she loves and ready to catch his fall. A woman whose love for a man that has withstood heartache, pain and loss. A woman who didn't see a broken man but a man who just needed someone to bring sunshine, rainbows, and love back into his heart. A woman who showed that true love is about accepting all the scars and to not be ashamed of them. A book that reminds us all that true love is finding that person, who is willing to kiss every scar that has been buried in your heart and love you for who are. So can Darby McKenzie be strong enough to fight for both of them?
If you are a fan of best friends to lover romance stories, then this book might be for you. But what makes this book special is that Ms. Fox allowed her readers to feel the emotional pain of Trace Chamberlain as he battles the inner storms of his heart and past. Ms. Fox douses her readers with so many emotions that it makes you feel an emotional connection with Trace and Darby as they fight for their love. What I really loved about this book is that Ms. Fox reminds us all that sometimes we truly have to hit rock bottom to scare us into seeing what we could lose....and for Trace, his rock bottom was knowing that he could lose the best thing in his life...Darby.
So if you want a book to pull all the heartstrings and take you on journey of love and healing, then I would recommend you to read Catch and Release by Ella Fox.
