Noelle Perkins had gone through a rough patch in her life. After surviving a life threatening experience, she decided to move and have a great new start in a town . She basically spun around her place with a map and pointed the pin she was holding, which landed on the Merriest little town called Fool’s Gold. She moved and opened up a shop, which ended up doing great. While her business was booming she meets a handsome stranger named Gabrielle. Finding out right away that Gabrielle is her friend Felicia’s fiancé Gideon’s twin brother, she mingles with him with no problem.
With her store so busy, she needed extra help and Gabrielle offered to work for her while he was in town. Needing the help she accepted. With all the time they had to spend working together, they got to know each other. Sometimes they got too close, which ended with sweet kisses that Gabrielle always ended up walking away. Knowing he couldn’t give her what she wanted and needed, he thought it was best to end their kisses with that just that…a kiss.
When the town was nearing the window contest, Noelle wanted to enter and wanted to find the best tree they could find. With Noelle not being good at driving on snow, Gabrielle insisted on coming with her to make sure she was safe. While up on the mountains looking for the perfect tree, they ended up being snowed it without nowhere to go. Their nights ended up with hot steamy sex, that they both could not resist.
Will their hot sweet romance continue on after they get out of the cabin, after their way gets cleared to go home? Or will Gabrielle run scared of what they could be together? Read and find out.
Gabrielle is super sweet with Noelle, no matter how much he wanted her to believe he wasn’t falling for her. He wasn’t fooling himself either, no matter how much he tried. He was just a lost soul trying to find his 2nd chance without even realizing it.
This is my first Susan Mallery book I’ve read and it was sweet, I enjoyed reading it. I cannot wait to read more of her books, because I love sweet romances and this book is just up my alley.
