This a story about a guy who had been burned once and it was the only time he'd ever given his heart to someone. Something tragic happened that hurt him so badly that he put up a wall and planned on leaving it that way. At least that's what he thought. A girl who lost her virginity to her boyfriend of two years and caught her best friend and boyfriend doing the dirty. One who is scared to commit and one who is eager to have another chance at love. It was insta-love for these two broken souls, BUT it took a lot of work to get to what they denied they truly wanted.
Gable is a guy who did not need any commitment. Slept with anyone who had legs and willing. All these ladies know he isn't interested in more than sex, but somehow they take whatever he offers. Gable is proud of his indiscretion, he lets it be known to everyone that he's an A-Hole. He knows what he wants and he's on a mission to get just that.
Scout is the youngest of the four siblings. And they are three brothers who will protect their baby sister and the same as her dad. It took a lot of convincing her family that she wants to go to college that is far away from home. She's one tough girl...very athletic and can't seem to take her eyes off this arrogant, egotistical, walking sex on a stick of a man. Oh end take make it even worse for her to fight...he's very charming, knows how to seduce women and she craves his touch. BUT she hates him and she wants nothing to do with Gable. She HATES him, but cannot for the life of her look the other way. Away from him.
They happen to have a class together and ended up doing a project for the semester. They both have secrets, but how long until someone finds out both their secrets. Or was it really a secret to begin with? All the sexual tension and the chase between them made the story even more exciting. Not too much sex, but OMG, you'd have to meet Gable. You don't need to literally have sex with him to orgasm, just look at him and you're done for. He's a walking wet dream. (Winks)
It was sad when it came to an end because I wanted more of Gable and Scout or maybe I should call them Four and Six. You'll know what I mean with the nicknames once you read the book. You will not be disappointed. I loved it and it's one of those books that you'd want to revisit, time and time again.
