Garrett Samuelson, plays for the Carolina Cold Fury. It's his love of the game that give him the adrenaline. So into his career that he never misses anything that involves his hockey team. He loves sex with women and never denies what they offer BUT never takes anyone to his home. Him being a player became his reputation. All the women go GAGA for him and worships the ground he walks on. All women wants in his pants and ride him until he's satisfied. With that being said, this makes a bad taste in Olivia's mouth. The girl he met at a hockey pre-season function. The first time he laid his eyes on her long golden hair, striped amber, caramel, and dark brown hair, he was done for.

Olivia Case, works in a flower shop her best friend owns. She's one brave woman for having to go through cancer. She deals with it the best way she can. She lives her life to the fullest, but it all crumbles down when she can no longer keep the straight face, denying the agony she feels about the diagnosis. She pushes everyone away at some point because she doesn't want the people that are close to her to have to deal with the pain she will be leaving them with when that time comes. When she can no longer fight to stay alive.
I cried reading this book, going through the same, but not literally, had me bawling. I'm not sure how I would feel if I were in Olivia's shoes. Cancer runs in the family and I've seen family members who fought and is a cancer survivor. And recently just found out December 22, 2014 that my cousin has liver cancer. So, reading this just felt like I was watching a family member fight for their lives. I believe that things happen for a reason. Things aren't always what they seem. For Garrett this was a huge wake-up call to him, something that will or may change his life forever. As for Olivia, experiencing this, was a huge obstacle that may need not just one person to support her, but her entire loved ones to keep her strong. Thank you Sawyer Bennett for writing this emotionally touching story.
