The only word that I can think of is BRILLIANT!! I really don't have enough words to describe how powerful, moving, uplifting, and gripping this book is. Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid maybe one of my favorite Summer Reads of 2015!! Scratch that, I don't think maybe is the right word...Maybe in Another Life is definitely one of my favorite Summer Reads of 2015. This is the first book that I have read from this author and definitely won't be my last. Maybe in Another Life was an addicting, fresh, heartwarming, emotional, heart-tugging, and beautiful book that dealt with the everyday question we all face at some moment in our lives. The question of what if? What if we chose this path? What if I was meant to meet this person? But with the question of what ifs...also correlates with the possibility of maybe. Maybe your life was suppose to turn out the way it was. Maybe you weren't meant to be with that person. Or maybe everything was meant to be this way.
Maybe in Another Life is not your ordinary romance book with hero sweeping you off your feet. Nope this book is about seeing life differently in a whole new perspective. What's different about this book is the fresh innovative way, the author was able to integrate two life altering choices and events if your life. No need for the maybes and what ifs because Ms. Taylor Jenkins Reid allowed her reader to see the two roads that Hannah Martin embarks on. With flawed characters, the author was able to make readers FEEL the raw emotions and vulnerabilities of Hannah and the other characters.
Without spoiling anything for the readers, I will just have to say this book is meant to be read and experience. Experience the emotional and beautiful journey of Hannah and the choices she made. Her journey brought out a gambit of emotions that pulled all the heart strings. I laughed, cried, swooned, and cried again. Although the ending was not what I expected, I absolutely loved it because in the end it was Hannah's choice. The writing was perfection and the story-line was absolutely mesmerizing and spellbinding. I absolutely think it was brilliant and fresh in which the author was able to weave the two life altering paths of Hannah. I just want to shout to the rooftops and tell everyone to go read this book because this book will change you, inspire you, and will leave you breathless. So thank you Ms. Taylor Jenkins Reid for writing this brilliant and amazing book!! It was perfection!!!
