Monday was sweet, emotional and so addicting. This is my first read from author E.L. Todd and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this book hooked me from the beginning. I loved Hawke and Francesca. They were so hot together and I couldn’t stop myself from reading.
Francesca and Hawke first met at her job while he ordered coffee. No matter how bad the coffee was, Hawke kept coming back, he knew he came for Francesca..he just didn’t know why. He was a one night stand kind of guy, so even though he flirted with Francesca he didn’t do anything further. Until that one day when Francesca asked him out. He thought he was finally getting her, have her underneath him. Their date went well, but when Francesca blurted out that she wanted to get to know him and wanted more than one night, he ran away as fast as he could. That should’ve been the end of it, but after having a talk and spending time together they became the best of friends. Francesca knew she wanted Hawke and he knew it too. But Hawke knew he wasn’t the man she needed and deserved. Will Hawke ever admit to himself that, he is the man for Francesca? Or keep being her friend? Read and find out.
Hawke was a complete hottie who changed for the better, but he also had things in his life that made him keep Francesca at arm's length. Francesca stayed sweet and strong throughout the book and never faltered. Hawke was in out of feelings of what he deserves and doesn’t. He was broken and really needed a hug. He was so sweet, but also so broken, Francesca made him a better man and in this story we watch him go back and forth on what he should do and shouldn’t do. It’s heartbreaking what Hawke had to go through and kept putting himself through. My heart broke for him every time bad things would happen. He was just someone trying to be a better man and everything for Francesca, but to him he was never enough. I can’t wait to read book 2, because I loved this couple so much.

Monday by E.L. Todd was a sweet, sexy, and emotional read that timely pulls all the right heartstrings. Ms. Todd has effortlessly drawn her readers to be immersed into the raw and vulnerable sides of her characters allowing readers to see beyond the smiles lies characters who are emotionally flawed and broken. For Hawke, he doesn’t believe that he deserves a woman like Francesca but slowly his walls begin to crumble as his feelings for her begins to deepen. And so what awaits for these two? Friendship? Or Lovers?

Though this book ends with a slight cliffhanger, Ms. Todd allows her readers to feel for her characters and get to know them on a deeper and emotional level. With her sincere and ardent prose, Ms. Todd has beautifully weaved a story that was centered on raw emotions, friendship, second chances, and love. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Todd has in store for this couple as Monday ends, Tuesday begins.
