Being born rich, Taylor Hudson had it all from money, beauty, and social status but behind the glass door lies a vulnerable young woman seeking the affection and love from her parents. In all honesty, she is a young woman who just wants to be loved and so when she meets Levi, he became somewhat a game to spice up her boring and lonesome life. Levi is the new handyman of the Hudson's mansion but his main objective is to pull off a fifteen million dollar heist. Levi's and his partners were hired to find a safe and steal from Taylor's father. But what Levi didn't expect was getting entangled with Taylor and crossing the lines of sexual desires. From the moment, Levi crossed the lines blurred by lust, sexual attraction, and desire, he knew he was playing with fire once Taylor discovers his deceit and betrayal. So how long can Levi keep up the facade of a handyman when his feelings for Taylor begins to get blurred with his objective of pulling off a heist?

Perfect Betrayal by Season Vining is a tale built on lust, sexual attraction and deceit. As Ms. Vining tried to blend the themes of lust and betrayal in the story-line, she highlights the facades that Levi and Taylor had to upheld since they both were guarded with their hearts. Growing up in an unloving home, Taylor projected her insecurities through being a spoiled rich brat. Overall this book, was both a hit and a miss. I liked the premise of the story-line of pulling off a heist and the idea of unexpected love but this book lacked the emotional connection between Taylor and Levi. I felt the characters were instantly in this insta-love aspect but it felt more like an insta-lust since their connection was primarily on a physical aspect. I just wanted more depth and growth from each of the characters. I wanted to know more of Levi's past and what made Taylor's parents to behave the way they did. And as for the ending, it was a bit blasé for my taste since I felt it was a bit rushed and Taylor forgave so easily from learning of the betrayal. But overall, I liked the book but didn't love it.
