Before I begin my review, I had the pleasure of reading the last two books of the series Private Pleasures by Samanthe Beck and loved it. It is then I realized that I did not read the first book of the series so I knew I had to rectify that issue immediately.
If you are a fan of small town romance that is burning with sizzling chemistry, charm, and friendship then Private Practice by Samanthe Beck is definitely the book for you. Ms. Beck starts off this book by introducing Dr. Ellie Swan, the good girl who returns back to her hometown of Bluelick to open up her own medical practice.
Ellie has always been the girl with the big glasses and her nose in the books. She was the girl that boys in her town didn’t take notice. So when Ellie got rid of her glasses and started wearing clothing that accentuates her curves, she knew she looks pretty but still was insecure when it comes to men. When Ellie overhears that the guy that she had a crush is single and on the market, she makes it her mission to make Roger take notice of her. She overhears that Roger is very sexual and so when Ellie helped out Tyler Longfoot for an emergency gunshot wound, she asked him in exchange for her help that he will have to educate and teach her everything about sex and kink.
What man would turn that offer down? And so Tyler was happy to teach Ellie on how to attract and pleasure a man. But as each sexual lesson progressed, Tyler found himself falling for Ellie. Will Tyler be able to compete with Roger? Or will Ellie discover that it’s always been Tyler not Roger?
Private Practice was indeed your fun, sexy small town romance. This book had a little steam and lots of heart as Samanthe Beck was able to bring two unlikely friends together. I loved that Tyler was able to bring a little excitement in Ellie’s life and show her that love is not something that can be learned but it has to be felt. And for Dr. Ellie Swan, letting go and trusting her heart is the only lesson that she needs to learn. So if you are ready to fall in love with a small town romance that is layered with heat, passion, charm, and eccentric characters then I suggest you give this book a try.
