A very emotional love story about two people finding a second chance in love, after a tragic accident pulled them apart.
From the moment Daniel and Melanie laid eyes on each other, it was over. It was love at first sight, from that first day they met their hearts belonged to each other. No matter what happened in their lives from that moment on, they will always belong to each other.
Melanie and Daniel’s love started on the fast lane, but it was true as it can be. They gave each other as much love as anyone in love can give one another. They may have been young, but they loved with every breath they had for each other. When they promised forever to each other, they meant it.
Being young and naive did a number on them, not being strong enough kept them apart after. Instead of fighting for their love, they were separated for 9yrs. Until the business meeting between Daniel and Melanie’s husband, put them face to face. The love they had for each other they never forgot, came like a slap in the face. All they wanted to do was run into each others arms, but knowing that Melanie’s husband is right there… they couldn’t do anything.
Will Daniel and Melanie find a way to be together again?
Or will Melanie’s husband take control of the situation and keep Melanie away from it all?
Read and find out.
This story maybe sad and emotional, but it was a real beautiful story of two people that were truly in love finding their way back into each others arms. The story of Daniel and Melanie is full of sadness and tragedy, but in the end it was all worth it.

This is a story about losing someone who you truly love. Being separated from her one true love was her parents decision, since their child was a minor and couldn't care less about their child's happiness, was just awful. This book was a page turner and PULLED at me from the beginning.
Melanie Winters and Daniel Montgomery had a bond that no one can ever break. They may have been separated for nine years, but the love they felt for each other back then, was just as strong as it is now or maybe even stronger. I wish that her parents hadn't interfered. So many years wasted by being apart, so many years they could've been in each others arms was ruined by her father. Who I hated so much for putting them in this gut-wrenching situation. I cried for the pain they were dealt with, for the emptiness they both felt for so many years. Leaving such pain and confusion in their wake was an awful thing to endure.

Melanie wanted to escape from all the pain she felt when she thought that Daniel had already moved on. And she ends up meeting a man she thought could fill the void she felt since she thought she was worthless and had to suffer by being with Nicholas the douche-arrogant-wealthy-mothereffer who I hated to the core. Melanie had to endure all the hurtful things he threw at her, like verbally abuse and physically abused her. He just made her feel so worthless. And she did nothing but let it happen.

Daniel tried to fill the emptiness with his countless no strings attach hook ups. And because of that, it caught up to him and ended up biting him in the butt. Someone that tricked him into sleeping with had some serious news for him that will break his heart and will remind him of what he once had with Melanie.

Knowing that everyone gave up hoping for Daniel and Melanie would somehow find their way back in each other's arms after so many years...Daniel did not. He knew that deep down, she was still out there somewhere and will find her way back to him. When you can sense that your other half is around without even searching if you were in a crowded place, is truly a unique gift that is rare. I know from personal experience. I loved that about Daniel and Melanie. The wasted years apart was one of their life lessons and it's up to them to make it right.
Leaving each other in the beginning was not their choice but when second chance was presented, they learned a lot and knew that the love they had for each other will never be replaced by another. BUT will it be strong enough for them to fight for what they've wanted to have for so many years ago? Or will they back down and come into a realization that they are better off without each other? You will have to read to find out. Thank you for taking me into a realistic and emotional read that I will never forget, Ms. Jackson. I LOVED IT!!!
