Aspen is a college student who got into art school. Not just anyone can get accepted and since she was chosen, she has to make sure she keeps her grades up. No room for mistakes and especially distractions. Any temptation will just get in the way of her success. She takes art seriously and it's her kind of therapy. Healing the wounds that aren't so old, helps her with her grieving process. She lost her twin sister six years ago. And somehow she blames herself for the tragedy. Carrying the baggage is slowly killing her inside. She needs serious help because concealing her pain to everyone isn't helping her heal.

As for Morgan, he just accepted a job as an art teacher in his hometown. He left the town to mourn his brother and to try to mend his broken heart. Mourning his brother is something he can't seem to get out of. Even in his slumber, he's still haunted by it. I fell in love with how all Morgan wanted to do was to take care of Aspen. Her safety is very important to him.
"It's only a matter of time before one of us cracks."
Two broken hearts and two lost souls... Sounds like a great match, right? I believe in what everyone would say... "Things happen for a reason." Meeting each other might be the one thing that will help them rise above the pain they've both been fighting with. And in this forbidden romance, you will enjoy the steamy scenes that will have you fanning yourself. The sneaking around make-outs is what made it a page turner for me. Brooke knows just how to pull at her readers and to leave them breathless. This is a must read for anyone who very much enjoy the angst and a heart wrenching love story. I highly recommend you get to know Aspen and my new book boyfriend, Morgan.

The story of sexy Professor Morgan and Aspen had me stucked on the book and I am on a major book hangover. From their first meeting and the tension between them had be wanting more. Their forbidden romance was not only hot, but very sweet. Morgan and Aspen were on fire together. The way they cared and understood each other like no one else could, left me feeling with so much want and passion for the love that was growing between them. These two fit each other like a glove, they belonged together and there was no other way around that. The deep scars and hurt they both went through, were gut-wrenching. And those letters from Aspen’s sister, left me in tears for all the pain she went through. Everything in this story felt so real, that I felt for the pain each character went through and going through (except for the witch teacher).
I love this book so much and I am so glad I read it. Such an awesome book from an awesome writer. Thanks for sharing.
