I love the idea of childhood best friend ending up together. That’s what got me into reading this book and of course the gorgeous guy on the cover.
This was a really fun and entertaining read for me. Clementine and Rhett are the cutest friends, they did everything together and were always there for each other. No matter what time of the day or night it is, they can always come to each other no matter what it may be about. They hung out almost every day, no matter what it is they are doing, even if it was watching Devious Maids they were content. They were each other’s rock and nothing can change that, at least that’s how they want it to be.
Rhett never cared about any other woman, but Clementine. Women to him are just used to fill his need of sex and nothing more, but when it comes to his best friend Clementine he will do anything to protect her. I love that about him. No matter how dirty he got with other women, you just knew he had his sensitive caring side in there somewhere. When he was with Clementine, you see his soft caring side and you can’t help but love him.
One day things started to change and Rhett couldn’t help thinking about anyone, but Clementine. He knows he can’t pass that line of friendship, until one night changed everything and Rhett didn’t care about being his playboy self any longer. All he wanted was be with Clementine and on one else. Or does he? Confusion sets in, and he doesn’t know what to do. Does Clementine feel the same way he does? Does she even want him that way? Will their friendship survive?
Read and find out. I’m sure by the time you are done, you will love Rhett like I do.
