When I first read the blurb of Risking It All by Christi Barth, I was intrigued and interested in wanting to read this book and how could I not when the series was aptly titled Naked Men. Risking It All had all the elements to be a great love story of two people learning to to face their fears together and taking that risk when it comes to love but there was just something missing to make me love the story of Griffin Montgomery and Chloe Widmore.

Risking It All is the first installment to the Naked Men series and follows a group of guy friends who run a blog. And this blog focuses on guy problems, sex, and etc. So basically, its your blog catered to a guy's POV. And in this first installment, the story is centered on Griffin Montgomery. He's the risk-taker. The guy who would fly into danger to save and rescue people. And so what happens when this daredevil risk taker finds himself grounded for taking a risk to rescue people too far. Well with lots of spare time while being grounded, Griffin Montgomery meets Chloe Widmore.

Chloe is your quintessential good girl. She doesn't take risks. She likes order and lives through her job as a professional letter writer and that's all the excitement she experiences. That is until Griffin Montgomery enters her life. As Griffin and Chloe hit it off, he learns something about Chloe that is a big game changer. As Griffin tries to come to terms of the revelation, will he finally take that risk to not let go of the girl who could crack all his armor when it comes to love? And will Chloe take the biggest risk to face her fears?

While I love the premise of the storyline, I just couldn't connect to Griffin at all. His reaction to Chloe's secret already turned me off but slowly he was able to chip away my first impression with him as we get to know him slowly. But as we get to see this new sweet side to him, a part of me just didn't connect to him as much as I wanted to. But luckily for me, I really enjoyed Chloe's character the most. She was the one who I would say took the biggest risk. She laid her heart on the line when it came to Griffin. She allowed him to see her vulnerable side and understand the reason for her fears. While I liked the storyline of Griffin and Chloe, I look most forward to reading the other men who comprises the blog.
