If you don’t know who the hell L.J. Shen is then I am telling you. No, I’m demanding you to put her on your book radar. Seriously, not only is she one cool amazing lovely person but she is one wickedly talented author. Shen continues to amaze me every time I read her books. Her characters and words are so intoxicating that you can’t helped but be mesmerized with her finesse, sophistication, and writing craftsmanship to details and eliciting raw emotions.
So if you read Viscious, then you would have been introduced to Dean “Ruckus” Cole. In that first book, I thought Dean was the nice one of the HotHoles. That guy who was more laid back and a little less intimidating but in Ruckus, readers got to see a whole new side to him. The real Dean, who has and always had a thing for Rosie.
Rosie saw him first but Emilia was the one he dated. Hence, the complicated relationship that existed between Dean and Rosie. So fast forward to the present, Dean and Rosie are thrusted back into each other’s lives and this time Dean knows what he wants and he ain’t stopping till he gets Rosie tangled in the sheets with him.
The sexual chemistry and tension that existed between these two was an inferno. Seriously, you can’t helped but be consumed with these two. Rosie is no wallflower of a heroine and she had sass for days. Her vibrant personality corresponded to Dean’s cocky and suave personality. In other words, these two had your ovaries exploding with lust and desire.
I will say it again and again. L.J. Shen did a fabulous job with this book. Her characters were fantastic. Her writing was phenomenal. And the way she was able to consume readers with her words was intoxicating. Could you get drunk off a book? Personally, I did. I loved everything about this book. So if you are looking for a book that takes you in that proverbial literary rabbit hole where chaos, passion, angst, drama, steam, and sex are big elements in the story line then I highly recommend you to read this book. 5 stars is not enough for Ruckus!!!!
