I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I love to settle down to a book which has romance, and some mystery to it.
Who wouldn't fall in love with a hot undercover agent? And for Maggie being pure for 24 years made Charlie even more in love with her. Their story is sort of a forbidden love in a way which pulled me in and caught my attention.
Here is the synopsis tell of how it all started...

Maggie Walker yearns for the one thing she’s never truly felt: love. After years of rejection and abandonment, the shy and timid Nurse found that running felt right and provided her with the solitude she needed to avoid the haunting memories of her past.
Keeping to her routines and having complete control of her life, made things easier, but not more exciting. When chance steps in, it throws the unexpected in her path in the form of a handsome stranger named Charlie.
Charlie Hennings lives under the pressure of expectation. When forced to follow in his father’s footsteps as an FBI Agent, he left behind part of himself and the chance to embrace his dreams, which included settling down and starting a family.
When his latest endeavor lands him in an undercover position in Brown County, he never expects to find the one person he couldn’t live without, who also ironically ends up being directly connected to his current assignment.
Throughout their journey, Charlie makes it his personal mission to help Maggie break out of her shell and convince her that she deserves all the love in the world. But when Charlie’s lies are brought to light regarding his job, will it destroy everything they’ve been working toward?
Can Maggie overlook his deceit and let herself experience these new feelings of love or will she just runaway from it all?

It was love at first sight for both Charlie and Maggie. I love an HEA book that will draw me in from the beginning to the end and this book did just that. No cliffy on this one which I loved by the way. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Amber, awesome job and I want more!

I give this book ☆☆☆☆☆
The beautiful Love story of Maggie and Charlie. The story starts with Charlie an undercover FBI agent watching a shy girl on her run, who keeps to herself, goes to work then comes home. When out she doesn't really look people in the eye, she's so shy...that she always looks down. Maggie reminded me of me when I was young. She was misunderstood by people as being stuck up, but all she really is ..is shy. Maggie had a hard past, bad parents who never cared or love her at all and a brother that used to, until one day her own brother turned into someone she and he hates the most...their dad. Maggie left their town and started a whole new life in a new town, working hard to becoming a nurse. Once she became a Nurse, she swore to herself that she will never live in a place like they had growing up. So she got herself a nice expensive apartment and bought all nice furniture. In her new life she had one friend she can trust with her life, his name is Gio.
Her life was fine, until Charlie finally decided to act on his feelings for her and decided to get to know her. Having Charlie around also gained her new group of friends that she can trust.
One day Charlie finally asked her out on a date, her first real date. Charlie had them out on a very simple, but fun date everything was perfect. As the story goes you will see how wonderful her new group of friends are and how wonderful Charlie is to Maggie. He is not only good looking, but he is very sweet and protective and will do anything to make sure Maggie stays safe and away from her brother Mason's trouble. Charlie and Maggie's relationship was going great, except for a big secret that can tear them apart. Will he tell her what his secret is or will he keep it to himself to keep Maggie safer?
While reading this book, I pictured everything as a movie and I think it can be a great movie one day. I'll cross my fingers.
Read the book and find out the beautiful love story that is Charlie and Maggie.
