I’m guilty as charged. I love reading stories that deals with one of my favorite tropes. Yes, I am sucker when it comes to loving your best friend’s older brother. And in Karen Erickson’s newest installment to the Wildwood Series, Ms. Erickson smolders readers with a slow burn romance between two family friends who has been dancing in circles with their relationship until one finally takes the lead.

Delilah Moore knew without a doubt that Lane Gallagher was the one. And Lane knew that Delilah Moore is the girl that he wants. Shouldn’t it be simple if two people are sexually attracted to one another get together? Well, the only problem is Lane Gallagher. You could say that he doesn’t think he is enough for Delilah and that she used to date his younger brother, West. But even though West and Delilah dated back in high school and have moved on, Lane still has commitment issues due to his father’s extramarital affairs and his ex making ultimatums. So will this stubborn man ever realize that Delilah is the one exception to ignite the fire and life into his lonesome life?
I really enjoyed reading Smolder by Karen Erickson since this book was the slow burn romance that hit the right spots. I love reading about a feisty heroine who finally had enough and took control of her feelings and the feelings that she knows the man she loves has for her. So if you are looking for a story where it took a little spark to ignite a wildfire of love then go read this book
