☆☆☆☆☆ 5 Mysteriously Sexy Stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Mystery, suspense, lots of twist and romance rolled into one book of Illusion. This book pulled me in from the beginning. The chemistry between the two characters were hot and full of tension.
The book starts out with Bianca in a very busy coffee shop, typing away her latest movie review in a hurry. Bianca is a movie reviewer for a newspaper, writing reviews is her only way of income after her father died. While working on her review a handsome stranger asked if she minded if he sat with her, seeing that the place was busy with nowhere else to sit she agreed. She’s she was too busy with her review she didn’t even look up to him, even if he was flirting. So he kept to himself and busied himself with a book.
When she finally looked up, she saw a dark haired, blue eyed, handsome stranger. She couldn’t look away, until she noticed a guy across the room, eyeing her like a predator. She got up, excused herself and ran out of the shop as fast as she could. With all the her investigating over her mother’s death, believing that her accident was actually murder. She finally started to realize, that maybe that’s the reason why she’s being followed. After her father died, he left her a box of things, including a letter that explained that he believed his wife was murdered and he would like for her to find out the truth. Knowing all that and playing her part like Nancy Drew, started making her feel like a target. Weird letters started coming in, phone calls and unexpected guest dropping by. Bianca was starting to get scared.
One night she decided to relax and hang out with her friend Rose, but that night turned into something else. Instead of hanging with Rose, she was taken and woke in the dark with a stranger. After introductions were done, they decided to trust each other and plotted their escape. They escape from a dark place they were placed because they worked as a team. They soon come to realize they were dropped off on a deserted island and the only way to survive was for them to trust each other.
Every day that passes they spilled more and more about what they knew or why they think they were kidnapped. Jakob took care of her in every way he could and kept her safe. More days passed, she couldn’t help but trust Jakob, no matter how much she tried not to. She knew he was keeping something from her, but she didn’t know how else to stay away from him. Their attraction couldn’t be ignored much longer. Her body was telling her yes, her mind was telling her yes, but her conscious were telling her no.
Jakob seemed as dangerous as he is handsome, but she couldn’t help but trust him with her life. More days pass more secrets were revealed. Bianca started to get confused about her feelings for Jakob. Is he her friend or her enemy? Read and find out.
I love this book, I enjoyed every page and every interaction between Bianca and Jakob. The sexual in tension between the two were hot as hell. While reading and trying to figure out if Jakob was a good guy or a bad guy, I couldn’t help but fall for him. He was so protective of Bianca and he was very killed in surviving. He was a man’s man, who took control of everything. Jakob and Bianca’s hot and cold moments were all hot and sexy as hell. When they finally slept together, I was so happy, it left a smile on my face. You gotta read it to find out what I’m talking about.
I am on a major book hangover and I cannot wait to read the next book.
I enjoyed all the twists and turns of the story and that everything is not as they seem.
