J Daniels proves once again why she's one of my favorites. She's refreshing.
This is the third book in the Alabama Summer series. We met Reed in the first two books and I'm thrilled he got to finally tell his story. This is one of those series' where the side characters are just as amazing as the main ones. Each worthy of their own story.
Reed and Beth meet by chance, but the sequence of events that follow take them somewhere neither of them ever expected. And it was so fun watching it all unfold.
Reed. You naughty, filthy talker, you. Damn. We caught glimpses of him in the first two books, and he sure doesn't disappoint as a leading man.
Sweet Beth, who you can't help but root for, is starting over. Leaving a tragic life, she's ready to finally belong and meet family she didn't know even existed until a few day prior.
Their banter is hilarious. Beth, in all her seemingly innocent ways, gives as good as she gets. But Reed and his filthy mouth stole the show. Damn! Hot. As. Hell.
As much as I enjoyed the hell out of this story, I did find as few areas either rushed with little explanation or maybe not explained enough. One of them being WTF happened to that bitch, Molly, (great name, BTW!!) :) and her shithead fiancé? Although, with the chemistry Reed and Beth have, that was only a minor detail. I, indeed, loved their story.
Please find your way to this series. You won't be sorry.
