There are certain authors that are an instant one-click and must read and Abbi Glines happens to be one of those author for me. I can still remember the first time I fell in love with the Rosemary Beach Series. How could I forget my first introduction to Rush, Woods, Grant, Jace and Tripp. From the first book Fallen Too Far and now in her newest release, You Were Mine, Ms. Glines has put us under a magical spell that has her readers falling in love with these beloved characters. The Rosemary Beach Series has evolved to a series that showcases first love, second chances, forgiveness, family, friendship,, letting go, loss and most importantly LOVE. And in You Were Mine, all these elements were beautifully integrated into the storyline that will leave you breathless. Love can tear you apart. Love can hurt. But most importantly, love can heal. And Tripp and Bethy will show us the meaning of love, forgiveness and what it really means to truly belong to someone's heart, mind, body and soul.
“This is mine. It always was. You were mine then, and you’re mine now.”
In You Were Mine, we finally get to learn the story of Tripp and Bethy. And what a beautiful, heartbreaking and touching story it was. From the first page to the last page, Ms. Glines will have your feeling raw from how vulnerable and captivating these characters are. Reminders of the past can be a blessing or a curse. It can remind you of happy times and at the same time painful ones. In You Were Mine, we learn of Tripp and Bethy’s first love romance. The meeting of two teens falling in love was simply beautiful. The love that these two will touch your heart from every word and actions evoked. The chemistry and bond they had were so palpable that you felt that they were indeed two jigsaw puzzle pieces. Pieces that took years for them to finally get their perfect fit. It might have took 8 years for them to get there second chance at life and love, but the journey was so worth it. You Were Mine is a story that must be read and experience. A journey of finding love, losing love, and finding it again. All I can say is that Bethy and Tripp’s journey took my heart, twisted it around, tore it to pieces and slowly taped it back together.
