Things are not always as they seem…

When they started spending time together as friends, it gave them the time to get to know each other. The more time they spent together the more they liked each other. And on days they couldn’t be together, they missed each other. Sadie was a strong woman, but she felt like she had way too much baggage to be with someone like Julian. In her eyes, he was perfect, the hottest guy she had ever laid eyes on and he was kind. He took care of her and her family, with no expectations. But her life was complicated and she’s afraid of a repeat of her past.
Will Julian convince Sadie that they are perfect for each other?
That he will do anything and everything for her?
That her past is just that, her past?
Read and find out.
This book is sweet with enjoyable read. There are hot moments that you will for sure enjoy reading. Julian and Sadie are hot together and couldn’t’ get enough of each other. I love their favorite code “Let’s discuss the Davis account”, when Davis Account discussion happens, clothes come off and pulse starts rising. From their lunch time sex in the shopping mall dressing room to their hot and steamy sex at home.
Love love it.

A player pursuing an ice queen!! Sold!!! When I first read the premise and blurb of Julian's Pursuit by Haleigh Lovell, I was definitely interested in reading a book in which has push and pull type of relationship. Typically in most romance books, we often see the alpha male persona pursuing the shy and lovable heroine but in this case Ms. Lovell did something different in which she turned the tables when she decided to introduced a feisty strong alpha female and a hero with an amazing personality and heart.

Sadie Frost has been dubbed the "ice queen" because of her strong personality but what others don't see is that she is a dedicated hardworking single mom. Dating and her love life is not on her high list of priorities but that all changes when she meets Julian. She wants him but she pushes him away. And so begins a push and pull relationship where Julian pursues Sadie, showing her that he will respect, honor, and be there for her and her son. Once Sadie was able to let her guard down, she was able to see that Julian truly wanted to love her. So has this so-called "ice queen" finally met a man who will thaw her ice cold personality?
Julian's Pursuit by Haleigh Lovell was the first book that I have read from this author. I will say that I did enjoyed this book but I did find the beginning to be quite slow for my taste. But after a few chapters in, I found the story to pick up in allowing me to fully invested in wanting to know Sadie and Julian. I will say that Ms. Lovell did a remarkable job in showing the dynamics of the sexual tension and romance that was brewing between the hero and heroine. So if you are looking for a book, that is filled with sexual tension, romance, banter, and love then I would recommend Julian's Pursuit. It was indeed a sweet romance that will warm your heart of a woman getting her second chance at love. Haleigh Lovell

Julian knows what he wants and when he does, nothing can stop him from chasing the one thing he truly desires. He will push her to give up this game she's playing. He may have wanted her in the beginning, badly, but he had boundaries. He cares for her and respects her. The chemistry between the two was intoxicating.

Sadie keeps people at a distance, emotionally. Once you get to know her more you'll know why she's the way she is. I've learned that in every trial and tribulation in life, comes a blessing. Evan was a blessing to Sadie. A child from a guy whom she thought she loved. She trusted him, but in the end, it caused her a broken heart. She regrets what happened except for the gift she was given. He's now six years old, who's been diagnosed with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome. With multiple procedures, the ER visits, trying to keep her job to be able to pay for her son's medical bills and to make things worse, her mom is mending a broken heart and drowning it by drinking. So, see she has her has her hands full. Will there ever be room for Julian?

When they tried to deny this feeling that's clawing at their skin, the sexual tension turned into something insufferable. Will they both end up giving in to the temptation? Will Sadie break down the walls she put up for so many years? Is Julian strong enough to not give up on Sadie? A love story that I will read again and again. Ms. Lovell, Julian and Sadie, has taught me how to take a leap of faith. Not knowing how it will end, still they both took the chance at love. Can't wait to read more from you.
