Do not judge books by it’s cover, everyone knows that saying and beauty is skin deep. This is Matt’s story and how he found the love of his life, Lily.
Matt has been playing the field for a while, since his break up with his ex-fiance Cassandra, he was never the same. He never wanted to trust anyone ever again, but the night he saw Lily for the first time, all his walls broke. Lily was across the bar, sitting by herself looking strong and fragile at the same time. She was beautiful and Matt couldn’t keep his eyes off her. Once he decided to rescue her from men on a prowl, they sat together and talked. The moment they came face to face, Lilly looked him straight in the eye and not his scar, it was over for him. He wanted her so much more. Lily was the first one, in a long time since he got the scar that didn’t look at his scar and judge, she didn’t even mind it at all. She looked at him as a person, not a freak with a scar on his face.
What I love about this story is how much Lily and Matt cared for each other. Neither one looked at each other’s imperfection as a disability, because it’s not. They saw each other for the person they really are deep inside. Together they made each other whole and gave each other the love and affection each deserved.
