In Olivia Luck's newest release, Point of No Return, Ms. Luck takes her readers on a poignant, touching, heartbreaking, and emotional tale of a woman's journey of moving on. To move on from an unexpected death of her husband leaving her a widow at an early age. For Violet, her world is shattered when the life of her husband was stolen. She not only lost the man who was her best friend, lover, and protector but she also lost a part of herself. The beautiful spirit and aura that radiated rays of hope is now filled with an empty void of a woman just trying to live one day at time. So what happens when Violet meets a man who has been admiring her from a distance? A man who was waiting in the shadows?
The first time Cameron saw Violet, he was instantly attracted to her. Fast forward to a year later, fate has a beautiful way of reuniting Cameron with Violet. When Cameron and Violet gets assigned to work together for an event, he slowly begins his way to earn her friendship and trust knowing that she is still hurting from losing her husband. After spending time together, Violet and Cameron begins a friendship that soon leads to sparks of attraction and deep feelings for one another. So can Violet make room for Cameron in her heart and let him in?
The relationship of Cameron and Violet was a beautiful portrayal of showcasing that LOVE truly HEALS. And in this case, Cameron was patient, understanding, and a true friend who didn't rush Violet when it came to pursing more than friendship. What I loved about this book was that Ms. Luck didn't rush their relationship. She allowed readers to see and feel the emotional growth of Violet where she was at a point in her life where she could truly move on. The most memorable part in this book for me was with the scene with Violet and her late husband, Max. That truly was the most heartbreaking and beautiful part of the book that left me crying. Yes, I know there are lots of swoony Cameron moments but what made me fall in love with him was that he didn't get mad or jealous that a part of Violet's heart will always belong to Max.
Point of No Return is a beautiful, touching, and emotional read that truly showcases that second chances do exists. This book stole my heart with the simplicity of the story line and none of that unnecessary drama or angst. I must say that Cameron is truly the heart of this book because he was the friend, the backbone, the good guy, prince charming and the knight in shining armor. So if you are looking for a book that is brimming with raw emotions and palpable moments between Cameron and Violet, then I highly recommend you to read Point of No Return. Get ready to fall in love with a sweet, heartfelt story where LOVE HEALS and NEW BEGINNINGS BEGIN.
