Raine turns 18 years old and is ready to lose her virginity to, the one man she thought she loved. She gave up her V-Card to her boyfriend and she thought it was the right thing to do. BUT, well, she thought wrong. Everything went downhill for her when a huge news she got changed her entire life. She had to adjust to this new life she was about to embark. Specially since she had nothing and no one to lean on other than herself. Her family disowned her when they found out about this life changing she was dealing with. She has to be strong to be able to survive. BUT how can you survive without anyone to run to? Sometimes we need someone to lean on and be there for us, even knowing for a fact that it will take everything in her to be able to leave the new chapter of her life.
Jarret was this dark and mysterious bad boy who is nothing like his brother Cam. He may look the type but he truly isn't. He's a what you see is what you get type of guy. BUT he doesn't do relationships. When he first laid eyes on Raine, he just wanted to have her right then and there. He lives a simple life and doesn't want the attention from everyone just because of where he came from. The wealthy and hypocrite family. Now that he knows his brother has done something he can't take back and would not admit this huge elephant in Cam's closet.
Jarrett and Raine join this new journey with an innocent want included. They built a friendship that turns into more. This is new to the both of them and they want to enjoy it the best way they can. All emotions are jumbled mess since it's an uncharted territory. When they end up living together, feelings start to develop into something more than friendship. And in this case, it makes everything more messy that it already was. Jarret knows that Raine is hiding something and he will find out what it is. Raine will deny the gnawing secret she's not ready to share for as long as she possibly can. How long can they fight the undeniable feelings that have for each other? Will they both be strong enough to get through this major change in both their lives? Knowing that this will make a huge impact, will they end up staying together?
This was a sweet and unforgettable read. I know it will stick with me. I LOVED IT! J.C. Valentine, Jarret is officially one of my book boyfriend. I can't wait to read more of what you've written.
