☆☆☆☆ 5+ STARS ☆☆☆☆

As Manning and Lake became closer and closer, more and more forces pushed them apart. I wanted so much for them to be together, but at the same time I had to keep reminding myself that Lake was still so young. Manning also felt exactly as I did. He wanted Lake so bad, but knew better than to really give into his want. Manning was such a good guy, who had a hard life and he deserved someone like Lake..only if she was a little older. I felt their pain and their heartbreak, every time they were together. They knew they belonged together, but the timing was all wrong. Only if they could just hold on for a couple of years, then they could really be together. Manning was from the wrong side of the track and Lake was pure goodness. Should they really be together?

Sex didn’t drive this book, what drove it is the story of love and being loved. Wanting someone so much, that they could never have. I felt so much pain and hurt for Lake and Manning. So much emotion and feelings for each other. I even shed some tears for their heartbreaks; they should be together. Being apart hurt them and hurt me as a reader. I felt so connected to their story, that I felt so lost when it ended with a cliffhanger. This story is just one of those that will hold on to any reader’s heart and haunt them when done, because that’s exactly what it’s doing to me. Their story was so heartbreaking, but so good. I cannot wait for book 2.
