"Geeks were the dirtiest, freakiest, sexiest men of them all. Hands down. And this guy might be the king of them all."
Jen McLauglin/Diane Alberts has always been one of those authors that I instantly one-click and is on my auto-buy list. Without a doubt, she never fails to give her readers a hot sexy read. And in her newest release, Taking What's His, Diane has made me squeeing with this hot panty-melting and swoon-worthy book. Yes, I want to thank Diane for making a nerdy alpha hero HOT!!!! That's right GEEKS are SEXY and SWOONWORTHY!!! They make the perfect book boyfriend because they are smart and sinfully sexy. So don't let those black rimmed glasses fool you, because once you meet Holt Cunningham, he will definitely have you saying "yes, sir."
"I want to claim you. Own you. Make you come more times than ever before."
Taking What's His had two elements that I loved reading about. For one, I am a big sucker for best friends's sibling romance. How can you not love a book that has the best friend in a secret romantic relationship with the off limits sister. And secondly, your hero is not a tattoo bad boy but a geeky hot sexy former Marine. So when Lydia meets Holt at a bar, sparks instantly fly. One hot explosive night has Holt rethinking of one night stands but when he discovers that Lydia is his best friend's baby sister, Holt finds it hard to resist her knowing that she is off limits. So can Holt resist Lydia knowing that she is the only one who made him feel alive?

I simply adore and loved Taking What's His. This book was sexy and yet had an emotional story-line that you felt drawn to. Instantly, you found yourself hooked with Holt and his struggles with the emotional and physical pain that was left when he returned to civilian life. Not only was Holt a sexy alpha male but he had layers of his personality that were slowly peeled and showcased his raw and emotional vulnerability. And as for Lydia, you got to love how strong, independent, smart, and fierce she was. She doesn't back down to Holt and I love a heroine who can hold her own. As for chemistry, these two had instant chemistry. It was a connection that left them truly, madly, deeply in love with each other. And another great bonus of their relationship is their love for Doctor Who.
So if you are looking for a book that will having you swooning for the sexy geeky hero, then you must read Taking What's His.
"No more running. No more fear. Just us."
