A complicated, complex angsty love story that was burning with so
much fervent passion, intensity, and feelings. Claire Contreras hooks readers right from the beginning as she presented characters that were linked by a past. Tessa and Rowan have known each other all their lives but as adults, their relationship took a different turn. Emotions of anger, hate, lust and possibly love begins to run rampant. And so with Contreras’ vivid and heartfelt emotional prose, she brought life to Tessa and Rowan. She allowed readers to see that there are two sides of the story. And that is all I have to say with the plot line since I don’t want to spoil as to why this book was a compulsive addictive read. But what I will say, Claire made us bleed for these characters as their past came colliding in the present. In this slow burn angsty romance, Contreras made our hearts yearn for Tessa and Rowan in a way that has begging for the next book.
