Emma Chase never ceases to amaze me as she continues to deliver swoonworthy romances that always sets my heart to flutter. She has royally screwed me over as I am head over heels in love with Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka His Royal Hotness.

Emma Chase’s literary signature of steamy romance with a hint of humor, sass, and banter are a prominent factor as to why Royally Screwed is royally amazing. In this modern refreshing spin of a royal fairytale romance, hearts will swoon as Prince Nicholas will have you saying why is everyone so in love with Prince Charming when you can have a royal prince that will have your knickers wet and begging for more. Who needs a glass slipper when you have a dirty mouth prince who will whisper sweet nothings in your ear? And did I mention he calls you, love?

Nicholas is no stranger to the public eye since he was born into the spotlight. As the next heir to the throne, every move that he makes is scrutinized. And so when his grandmother, The Queen sends Nicholas to New York City to retrieve his younger brother, Henry, Nicholas discovers that he may not be taking a bite of the Big Apple but instead of homemade apple pie from a certain coffee shop owner.

Olivia Hammond runs her family’s coffee shop that is famous for their pies. Who doesn’t love pies? And so when Nicholas happens to stumble in Olivia’s shop, he didn’t make a great first appearance. First, he was a royal douche since he was highly intoxicated. And so the following next day, Nicholas goes to apologize to Olivia. It is there he forms a kind of truce with her.
Nicholas is smitten with Olivia because she doesn’t care that he is a Prince. She treats him like an ordinary person and it was refreshing for him to meet someone who doesn’t see dollar signs and fame. As Olivia and Nicholas gets close, what happens when she learns that the Queen wants him to get married? And what happens when Nicholas must decide on whether he wants the throne or Olivia?

Royally Screwed was an absolute gem of a read. This book was a riot of entertainment as Emma Chase beautifully weaves humor, sass, passion, romance, and royal drama. So if you are looking for a love story that is your modern fairy tale of happily ever after then I highly recommend you to fall for Nicholas and Olivia. The writing was spectacular. The characters were a riot of fun. And the story was enchanting. So are you ready to get Royally Screwed?
