Ahhh…it’s official I am addicted to Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway. Seriously, I can’t even begin to express how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE The Player And The Pixie. This book was downright fun, smart and sexy!!!! Everything about this book from the writing, the characters, the storyline, and the dialogue were PERFECT.

Right off the opening pages, I fell in love with the characters. It usually takes me awhile to love both the hero and heroine but Ms. Cosway and Ms. Reid did a fabulous job in writing and describing Lucy Fitzpatrick and Sean Cassidy. I was instantly drawn to the deep emotional pull, humor, banter, and sexy moments.

Lucy Fitzpatrick is the younger sister of Ronan Fitzpatrick, Ireland's Rugby star athlete. Lucy loves Ronan and all the success that he has achieved. But when it comes to her mother, they have a relationship that is not very motherly. It is the kind of relationship that they both love each other but Lucy's mother constantly nitpicks everything Lucy does. She never fails to scrutinize Lucy's shortcomings in her career and love life. Feeling the pressure to be perfect, Lucy is driven to an unhealthy compulsion habit.
Sean Cassidy is somewhat the black sheep of the Ireland's Rugby team ever since he tried to get Ronan kicked off the team. Ronan and Sean do not like each other. With that being said, Sean enjoys every opportunity he can to push Ronan’s buttons. Not only is Sean the black sheep of his team, he is also notorious as being a player. But this womanizer has one secret, he is a horrible lover. I mean downright awful that is until Lucy Fitzpatrick walks into his life.

Lucy can’t explain her growing attraction to Sean. She knows she should stay away but as she gets to know him, she sees the real Sean. Not Sean, the cocky arrogant player but Sean, the man who is lonely and has a big heart. The man who loves dogs. The man who has dedicated his life to rugby in order to prove his worth to his family. The man who is in search for love. The man who is looking for a friend. And for the first time, Sean found the one person who sees the real him. Lucy Fitzpatrick. The girl who has a rainbow color of hair. The girl who loves dogs. The younger sister of his nemesis.

When Lucy and Sean kissed for the first time, it was hot. Passionate. It was sexy. But when Sean and Lucy begin the act of sex, Lucy discovers Sean is lacking in proper sexual foreplay education. Basically, he sucks. Sean is well aware that he is bad and so he ask Lucy to teach him. As Lucy agrees to teach him, she makes him well aware that Ronan can never find out about it. But as Sean and Lucy embark on his foreplay lessons, a deep emotional connection begins to develop. Soon Sean and Lucy are in that phase of something more. But Lucy’s fear of her brother finding out and the added stress from her mother is what’s stopping her from being truly happy. Can Lucy admit her real feelings for Sean? And can Sean show Lucy that she is not just another notch on his bedpost but instead that she is his everything?
I LOVE The Player And The Pixie.. I love Sean Cassidy. I love Lucy Fitzpatrick. I love this book. Yes, I will say it again. I love this book and adore the creative writing duo Penny Reid and LH Cosway. If you love a book that is just as colorful as Lucy’s hair, then this book is for you. It had it all from humor, banter, romance, and raw emotions. All I can say, The Player And The Pixie is a smart fun romance with all the FEELS.
