The Soul Mate is the fourth installment of The Roommate Series and happens to be more on the sweet and light side of the series. Don’t get me wrong, this book was hot and sexy but the overall feel of this story was charming and wholesome. The characters were presented in an adorable and lovable manner that readers couldn’t help but smile and like the heroine and hero instantaneously.
Bren Matthews is a zoologist who has dedicated her career in protecting and conserving endangered animals. She lives somewhat a boring and predictable life. Work. Work. Work. Yeah, you get the idea that she doesn’t have much of a love life and so when she decides to do something out of her comfort zone and let loose for a night little did she know that her one night stand may leave her a surprise nine months later.
Even now, a week after the fact, my mind’s favorite place to wander was the memory of her perfect, cherry-tipped tits and her smooth, pale skin. Her silky blond hair between my fingers. Her responsive, writhing body. And, of course, the taste of her pussy as I’d laved my tongue over her straining clit. At this point, even her name was enough to get me hard as a rock. But it wasn’t enough—none of it was. Because I was going to find Bren. And when I did? It’s sounds like a complicated hot mess but Kendall Ryan sure knows how to uncomplicate things when she introduces readers to one of the most sweetest and hottest OB-GYN doctor that will have your lady bits tingling with excitement as Dr. Mason Bentley proves to you that soul-mates do exist.
When Mason sees Bren on his exam table, he is both shock and happy. Mason has been trying to find Bren since he felt a connection to her and was disappointed that she disappeared right after they had hot sex. And so when he discovers that she is his new patient and that she might be pregnant, Mason is stunned.
What kind of man cooked a perfect steak, delivered prenatal vitamins to you at work, and then brought you to orgasm in five minutes flat? ”As Mason gets over the shock of the news, he decides that he wants to know Bren on a deeper emotional level since they will soon have their lives intertwined with one another. As they spend more time with each other, they begin to realize their strong affections and feelings for one another. This connection was no longer held by just sex but also on the idea that they are each other’s missing piece. Yup, you guessed it…they are soul-mates. But what happens when Bren’s fear of love begins to surface? Will she lose her chance at a happily ever after with Mason? Or will Mason be able to show her that fairy-tales do exist and he is indeed her soul-mate?
Sweet, charming, lovable and entertaining!!! These are some of the words I would use to describe The Soul-Mate. This book was definitely your feel good book that gave you a sweet sugary dose of a man who didn’t need to be a total alpha to steal your heart. The hero in this case stood out on it’s own by his gentle and caring nature. So if you are looking for a light romance to wrap up your summer, then this book is for you. As always, Kendall Ryan will bring a smile to your face with her feel good romance that is sizzling with heat and heart.
