When these two met, they locked eyes and never stopped looking. Mae had never dated before, but she knew she wanted to get to know Matteo. When they decided to see each other, it didn’t take long for their real selves to come out. Matteo’s saw something in Mae, that reminded him of himself. He saw the pain in her eyes and he wanted to make her forget her past that destroyed her. J.M Walker really made us feel and see what these two had gone through, all the pain and torture that had shaped the man and woman they had become. Matteo and Mae had such chemistry, I couldn’t help but get pulled into their world. These two just fit together. The love that came out of their broken bond was not only beautiful, but breathtaking. I may not like these kinds of books, but this story pulled me into the darkness of their lives. This book is dirty, but beautiful how two damaged souls found the love they have been waiting for all their lives within each other. Be warned this book is not for the kindest hearts, be ready for dirty, damaged and heartbreaking story..that will put you in the dark, until you find the light at the end of the book. Such a beautiful ending that made everything worth it.
