In Darkest Revelations we get a chance to know Mr. Black/Stone deeper. In The Sweet Temptation of Whiskey of we find out what kind of hell Stone went through, how much he enjoyed sex and him finding love with Anaya. Anaya who made him forget all the bad stuff in his past and having a chance to be happy. Just like the first book, this is a very dark erotic romance, that you will either love or hate. As for me I enjoyed reading this, because it gives us more insight on Stone. When I read The Sweet Temptation of Whiskey, I wasn’t really sure what I felt about Stone. But after reading this and finding more about what he went through and his feelings, I started to feel for him and understood why he became the man that he is. I also love the man he became with Anaya, with Anaya he was normal. Yes, he loves to be in control, but with Anaya he was willing to let go and just be happy with just being with her, like a regular couples. He didn’t care that he had to let go of the man he was, getting off in all ways he can. To him Anaya was enough. So this is really a great way to get to know the one and only Mr. Stone.
Of course there’s the Ms. Langford, who will be part of the next book Darkest Temptations. This may not be my favorite kind of read, but at time it’s welcome. Because of Stone, Ms. Langford is very much into entering the world that Stone left behind. Now I’m curious to find out where this new dirty world will take her with Nathan’s assistance. Can’t wait.
