It’s no secret that I am a huge Harper Sloan fan and couldn’t wait to dive into her newest rock star romance. I guess it would be fitting to say that Jaded Hearts was loaded with charm, sex appeal, banter, friendship, steam, music and love. Harper has indeed found the perfect melody and beat as she has readers like myself dancing and tuning into the love story of Wren Davenport and Chance.

Wren Davenport is the face of Loaded Replay, a band that consists of Wes (her twin brother), Jamison, and Luke. Wren has been in the public eye for sometime right now since the band hit it big and signed with Brighthouse Records. Wren not only has the beauty and sass but also the voice to capture everyone’s attention including a stalker.

While Wren’s music career is on the rise, her love life is nonexistent since she is very wary of anyone who wants to use her for the rise to fame. Wren is like any woman looking for love. She wants the real deal not the make believe fairy tale romance. She wants a love like the lyrics her band members write and sing about. So will this jaded rock star find a song that is loaded with truth, sincerity, and love?

For all you Harper Sloan fans out there, remember Chance from the Hope Town Series who happens to be Cohen’s old roommate. Well it turns out Chance is hired to be Wren’s bodyguard. Immediately, Chance feels the connection with Wren. The melody of his heart beats for one person only. Wren. Will Chance be able to protect and do his job while having feelings for Wren?

The connection between Wren and Chance is something so palpable and strong that readers like myself could feel the beats of their hearts. And this particular melody was on constant replay as Chance and Wren could not deny their attraction and feelings for one another. Sparks were flying. Music was being made. And hearts were beating with passion and intensity.

Jaded Hearts was loaded with humor, banter, romance, passion, vulnerability, healing, and music. This book was a symphony of rock star romance done right. Harper Sloan did a phenomenal job showcasing a strong willed heroine with a side of vulnerability and in such allowed readers to feel her struggle and hope for real love. So if you are looking for a romance that blends music and love in a rock star fashion then I highly urge you to get lost in the music, words, and this beautiful heartfelt literary canvas that is loaded with Harper Sloan’s signature of romance with a side alpha male.
