So I think K. Webster must think that I only love to read her dark reads but deep deep down I know she knows I’m a sucker for her sweet reads too. And fyi, Kristi does write sweet happily ever after lovey dovey romance...shocking I know!!! LOL.

photo 5bb535764d30c8ca6fae1c2d9d75cb_zpslyft5nqf.gif“Madden has a powerful aura about him. His smell is an intoxicating manly scent— a delicious mixture of ocean water and leather. I can always feel his eyes on me, like a tongue lazily dragging its way along my flesh.”

First and foremost, let me just say the cover of Mad Sea is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! When I read the blurb and when Kristi told me about the book, I was like gimme. Who wouldn’t want to read about mermaids finding love?

#MadSea

Right off the opening pages, immediately that song popped into my head. You know the song that I am talking about. If you don’t then let me refresh your memory: “There you see her (sha la la).Sitting there across the way.She don't got a lot to say.But there's something about her (a-bout her) And you don't know why, but you're dying to try..You wanna kiss the girl.”

photo 5bb535764d30c8ca6fae1c2d9d75cb_zpslyft5nqf.gif“Every part of me aches to join with every part of you. You’ve bewitched me, woman.”

# madsea1

Mad Sea chronicles the story of Madden Finn, a dangerous MC biker who has a soft spot for a certain strawberry blonde angel, Hali Elaine Morgan. When Madden finally had enough courage to ask Hali out on a date, they soon found themselves flirting a dangerous line where they both knew that this feeling and connection between them is something more. So what happens when Madden discovers Hali’s secret? And what happens when Hali discovers that there is more to Madden Finn than a dangerous MC biker? Will Madden be kissing the girl?

photo 5bb535764d30c8ca6fae1c2d9d75cb_zpslyft5nqf.gif“I swear, I was making love to an angel. So now you’re my sea angel.”

Mad Sea was a sweet, sexy, and enchanting tale of love and mermaids!!!!! In this quick and light read, K.Webster brought a smile on my face as she created a magical tale that still had her signature mark of steam, protective alpha male heroes, and of course that palpable love story. So if you are ready to dive under the sea where the depths of love are splashing and radiating with so much passion then I suggest you let K.Webster make you part of her world.

Lisa Suzanne you have me truly conflicted. Yes, you couldn’t have picked a better name to go with this book. Conflicted sounds about right especially when you are dealing with the subject of martial infidelity.

photo eaa7db7706b6b3f9e36cb6a1a8349e_zpspbovlc8y.gif“Cole set my blood on fire—one minute I wanted to strip his clothes off and straddle him, and the next minute he made me so fucking angry that I wanted to slap him across the face. It was soul-crushing passion that I felt for him, and even when I hated the hell out of him, I never really disliked him.”

Before I begin my review, I want to let you know that I very rarely read books that deals with the subject matter of infidelity. Why? I would always feel bad for the other party that is getting lied and cheated to. It breaks my heart. No person should be made a fool of. Although this book is of fiction, Lisa Suzanne writes Conflicted in such a raw realistic way that your hearts will be racing and at the same time furious at the heroine for her choices. But these choices are of her own. They are her flaws, her truth, her secret, her lies, and her want. There is no perfect person. We are all human. And so Lisa Suzanne will capture every vulnerability, heartbreak, confusion, and passion with her fervid and detailed prose.

#Conflicted

If you are not a fan of cheating, then this book is not for you. If you are brave enough to read this book and explore the mindset of a woman who willingly knew the consequences of her choice, then go forth and read this book. Conflicted honestly leaves me conflicted because in the manner of how the heroine, Lucy Clearly decided to go about her affair. Is she at fault? Absolutely. Is Cole Benson, the man she is having an affair at fault too? Absolutely. Is the husband at fault? There will be readers who would think he is partly to blame because he didn’t give his wife the affection and attention she needed so it excuses her for her action. And there are readers like me who are conflicted in the sense of how none of this drama should of happen in the first place if there was honesty and communication. But hey, we are human and we all make decisions that will shape and guide us.

photo eaa7db7706b6b3f9e36cb6a1a8349e_zpspbovlc8y.gif“It all happened much too quickly as his body powered into mine with urgency. The lust and desire between us had been pent up for far too long, pushing us both toward our climaxes nearly instantaneously. It was too good, too sweet feeling him move against me, inside me.”

This is one story where I find it hard to write a review because this book is told in the perspective of the heroine Lucy Clearly. Lucy finds herself in a marriage that was stagnant. Her husband and her were like roommates since he was always busy working. And so when Lucy gets assigned to her new boss, Cole, she felt a strong pull to him. She knew it was wrong to lust and want him because she was married but at the same time she wanted him. So when Lucy finally crosses that line of betrayal, does she have guilt for her action? Or does she feel conflicted for not feeling guilt at all?

photo eaa7db7706b6b3f9e36cb6a1a8349e_zpspbovlc8y.gif“John was a good man. Everything he’d done had been for me, and I’d been blind to it, lost in my own selfish thoughts that he was choosing work over me when he’d been putting me first all along. He deserved better than me. He deserved a faithful woman who would always put him first. When we’d said our vows to each other, I thought I was that person. I’d worked hard to be that person, and I probably would’ve kept being her if Cole Benson hadn’t stepped foot into my life. It was too late now. I’d navigated a course that I couldn’t return from. I’d strayed too far from my husband and from our marriage, and I deserved every cut and crack that slashed my heart.”

Yes, cheating is very wrong. We all know it but the way Lisa Suzanne wrote this story allows readers like myself to understand the mindset of Lucy as to why she crossed that line to have an affair. Whether you agree or disagree with Lucy, it allowed each of the characters to grow in a sense. View their own faults and imperfections. Nothing is hidden. Every lie, deceit, secret and truth are exposed in such a raw gripping manner. Conflicted is more than a romance story for me. It is a story of lessons and consequences. It is a story of growth. It is a story of love. It is a story of life. So if you are ready to get conflicted and be lost in a story where happiness, sadness, and passion are all heartrendingly intertwined then I would definitely recommend you to read this book.

First and foremost, I love E.K. Blair and I’m a huge fan of this author. I love the way how Blair can easily bewitch readers with her words, characters and story lines. So when I found out E.K. was going to write a book based on a true story, I was beyond excited and couldn’t wait to get my grabby hands on it. Who wouldn’t be intrigued with a blurb that states, “She’s an author. She’s a mother. She’s a wife. She’s a fraud.” The curious person in me wanted to know who she is and then the other part of me didn’t want to know.

#AA

Before I begin my review of Author Anonymous, I want to make it clear that this book is not a love story but it is a story that will leave you feeling exposed. You will either hate or love it. Or if you are like me, you will be left shocked and at the same time angered by the heroine’s choices. It is easy for us to judge and say we wouldn’t do these things but if there is one thing we all need to realize we are all human. We are imperfect and in this case “this anonymous author” chose to have every thought, fantasy, mistake, lies, and betrayal be opened and exposed for readers to judge her.

Author Anonymous felt like I was reading some secret diary and Page Six gossip column. For the life of me, I was addicted and wanted to know every juicy detail. I cringed, judged, and despised the heroine but then again I tried to understand her. Did I like the heroine’s justification for cheating and all the lies? No.

This book can be summed up with one word.BOLD. E.K. Blair boldly told a story that will either be hated or loved by the book community. She made a true story come alive with her bold and stunning prose. Every detail, action, and raw emotions described was boldly told in the voice and style of E.K. Blair. She didn’t hold anything back as far as the readers are concerned. There was nothing she hid with the exception of the identity of the author. Blair literally held you hostage as you went down that proverbial rabbit hole where seduction, lies, betrayal, duplicity, vulnerability and passion laid bare. Regardless if you wanted to hate the heroine or not, E.K. Blair did her job. She consumed you not just with the juicy and scandalous story but she captured your complete undivided attention with her writing. So yes, this is an utterly addictive story that left with a bang! This is definitely a story that will be whispered, talked about and the echoes of gossip of wondering who this person is what makes this book stand out. I know this book will not be for everyone so I applaud EK Blair for taking a chance on writing a story that she felt had to be told.

Author Anonymous is a bold, riveting, heartbreaking and devastatingly raw story. This is not a love story. This is an imperfect story about an imperfect and duplicitous individual. This is her story. We can either love it, hate it or in my case experience this story alongside with E.K. Blair and fellow readers. So if you are ready to take a ride on this scandalous and shocking story, I have only one thing to tell you. Hold on tight!!!
