It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen but combine these two authors writing then you are for sure guaranteed an amazing read. If you read their previous books Him and Us then you were all introduced to the secondary characters Blake Riley and Jess Canning, and this time these two are the first couple to kick off the spin-off series WAGS.

Good Boy was everything I was looking for in a sports contemporary romance. It had heat, chemistry, playful banter, and that feel good feeling. The writing was on point as Kennedy and Bowen allowed readers to feel the spark and tangible connection of Blake and Jess. They allowed readers to see the real them. Everything about the interaction of Blake and Jess felt so natural and so it wasn’t hard to fall for these two. I loved that Jess was that heroine who made you feel for her as she tries to find herself and purpose in life.

I honestly don’t want to spoil the book because the best part of reading this book is getting lost in the insane chemistry and heat of Blake and Jess. I practically inhaled this book in one sitting because it was so well-written and had every element I was looking for in a romance book. You want charismatic and relatable characters. Check! You want steam. Check! You want a story that will leave a big fat smile on your face. Double Check! As far as I am concern, Good Boy was the perfect read to wrap up January and kick start February. A must read for anyone who wants a book that inspires you to believe that it is never too late to be doing what you want in life.
