I can always count on Carey Heywood to deliver a romance that will leave a big fat smile on my face. And in her newest release, Why Now? Carey will set hearts fluttering as she delivers a fun, light, sexy, and emotional romance.

#WhyNow

If you read the synopsis, you would think oh no a love triangle. Yes, there is a love triangle but it is not the kind of love triangle that will have you pulling your hair and screaming at your kindle. It is different and both men vying for the heroine’s heart are genuine, compassionate and equally lovable. And that is all I have to say about it. But what I can tell you is that Carey Heywood wrote a love story that was sweet, beautiful, sexy, and romantic. Ms. Heywood weaved raw emotional undertones giving the readers a full spectrum of love and understanding brewing with the heroine and hero. So if you are looking for a beautiful love story of two people finding love at the right moment and time in their life, then I urge you to read this book.

As a big sports fan, I absolutely adored Cleat Chaser by Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell. This book left a big fat smile on my face. Usually in sports romance novels, there is always the hot shot star athlete who talks about the big game but in Cleat Chaser, Celia and Sloane did a fun twist on your typical sports romance books. They actually made the hero sweet and lovable right from the start. And they actually did incorporate baseball into the story line.

Kyrie Kent is done with players. She is perfectly contempt to be in her own little bubble with her kindle. She knows what it is like to be betrayed by an athlete. So when her best friend drags her to go to a baseball game, Kyrie was busy reading on her kindle that is until East Holliday caught her attention.

Easton Holliday is a professional pitcher for The Ravens. And so when he spots Kyrie in the stands not paying attention to the game, he was intrigued. In hockey, you have the puck bunnies and in baseball, you have the cleat chasers. And so you can imagine, Easton was intrigued that Kyrie had no interest in being a cleat chaser. So when he asked one of his closest friend, who happens to be dating Kyrie’s best friend, to help set up an introduction, Easton was a ball of nerves. He liked Kyrie right from the start that she didn’t care for his fame and money.

After a few tries, Easton was able to worm his way into Kyrie’s good side. As the two begin to spend quality time with one another, deep feelings begin to emerge. But what happens when Kyrie’s ex-boyfriend comes waltzing back in the picture? Will Kyrie find herself be the one chasing Easton as she tries to win back his heart?

With that being said, Cleat Chaser is definitely your feel good romance. The writing and story line were playful, fun, fresh, and sexy. And can I say, everyone deserves to have a BFF like Nikki, Braden and of course, you can not forget Kacey, even though she is like of those friends you cringe because you never know what embarrassing and unfiltered thing will come out of her mouth. So if you are looking for a book that weaves sports, romance, and laughter then this book is definitely for you.

I’m not sure if it’s an unrelenting longing for what we had, or the fact that I feel terribly sorry for what she’s going through right now. Hell . . . it’s probably because she’s still the hottest goddamn woman I’ve ever known despite how much she’s changed over the years, but it’s irking the hell out of me that I’m affected like this.”

It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett. She has secretly become one of those authors that I ahem stalk for upcoming new releases. And as you can imagine, I couldn’t wait to read Hawke, the fifth book of the Cold Fury Hockey Series. Sawyer has always been one of those authors who knows how to perfectly weave romance with raw emotions, steam and yet know how to tug our hearts with a heartfelt story while keeping that Sawyer Bennett signature of sexiness.

#Hawke

Seven years ago, Hawke Therrien’s heart broke when his girlfriend of four years decided to end their relationship. Brokenhearted, Hawke left to start his new life as he was recruited in the NHL. Fast forward to the present, Hawke is at the top of his career as the new defenseman for the Cold Fury. His past and old friends were part of a chapter that he decided to close that is until, Vale Campbell comes back walking into his life.

 photo 485adcdb722f0b6e6df2cb272c677b_zpszyhnrrsg.gif“It’s just like old times, and yet . . . it’s different. ”

Vale Campbell loved Hawke with all her heart. She knew she made a mistake when she decided to end their relationship. She had her own personal reasoning for the rash decision. The old Vale that Hawke knew was wild and carefree but the new Vale finally has her life in order. As the newest member of the athletic staff, Vale took a job position with the Cold Fury which happens to be Hawke’s new team.

Hawke and Vale knew that they were bound to interact with one another. Being the bigger person, Hawke made the first step and tried to be friendly with Vale even though he was still hurt and angry at her. But as Hawke tried to get to know Vale again, old feelings and lust begins to resurfaces. Will Hawke be able to find out the real reason why Vale broke his heart? Or will she continue to dodge the big elephant in the room?

photo 485adcdb722f0b6e6df2cb272c677b_zpszyhnrrsg.gif“I know this because I decided that no matter what Vale says to me tonight, no matter what her reasons are for crushing my heart, I’ve decided I’m going to accept it and let it go. With that nastiness out of the way, then I’m going to fuck her again. And again, if I’m lucky. This was my epiphany. A cleansing of our history and a monstrous orgasm deep inside the one woman that once used to rock my world.”

Sooner or later, Hawke and Vale knew that they had to address what happened to them? And when they finally talked, Hawke and Vale soon found themselves rekindling their romance. But what happens when the issue of a trust becomes an issue for them. Can Vale and Hawke fully let go what happened to them seven years ago?

If you are a fan of second chance romance, Sawyer Bennett delicately weaves a heartfelt and touching love story of two former lovers getting their second chance at love. Hawke is a beautiful tale of forgiveness, letting go, finding oneself, and of course rekindling love. Hawke was another great installment to this series and if you read the previous books, then you will love the epilogue.

Hawke is an awesome read. It was truly engaging and the characters who had my attention since the first book of the series. A fast paced romance that I could not put down. Another captivating add-on to Cold Fury Hockey series. While it is a heartwarming story between two stubborn individuals, it's also an enjoyable experience to finding oneself. You will fall in love with both Hawke and Vale just like I did. The hardship they endured that could've been prevented had they, not lost communication was what made me want to throw my device. But in life, it doesn't always turn out the way we want it to be but it's up to us with how we rise above the struggle and move forward. Hawke was heartbroken and lived in the past, wasn't able to have any type of relationship after Vale. As for Vale, she thought Hawke had moved forward since she never heard from him after the breakup seven years ago. Now, that they are put on the same team in their careers, will they both deny the fact that they need some type of closure and explanation as to what happened in the past? Will they both be able to stay professional and be in each other's presence without killing each other?

To all the readers who are fans of second chance romance, I highly recommend you read Hawke by Sawyer Bennett.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!!!! As one of my favorite authors and dear friend, Brenda Rothert continues to DELIVER a story that will melt hearts and have reader swooning! In her newest release, Bennett Brenda will show her readers there is nothing minor about Bennett as he scores major points in the sexy protective alpha hero department and an extra point for being an absolute sweetheart.

photo b1cbb3aa3ff686aa289450122f6cb7_zpsoziixzvd.gif“Bennett: pros-Sweet.Loyal.Caring.Easy to be with.Highly attractive.Committed to our kid.Intelligent Sexy as fuck. Amazing in bed. Good at fixing things.Makes me feel good. Bennett: cons- Faces lots of temptation from other women ”

Bennett is the second book of the On The Line Series and can be read as a standalone but I highly urge readers to read Killian as well. So what is Bennett about?

Bennett Morse has only one thing on his mind and that is to make it in the NHL. As a minor league player, Bennett has dedicated his life in making it into the pros. And as a hockey player, life mostly consisted of the ice and of course puck bunnies. And there was no shortage of those. But as time goes by, Bennett is feeling that his life is at a standstill. Will he make it to the NHL? As Bennett contemplates his life and dreams, he meets a young woman that catches his eye.

#Bennett1

Charlotte Holloway is a newly single attorney, who just broke up with her boyfriend. Angry that her ex stole her job promotion from her, Charlotte decides to drown her anger in a couple of drinks. While at the bar, she meets Bennett. They strike up a conversation and well one thing led to another and soon Bennett and Charlotte ended up tangled in the sheets. The following next day, Bennett leaves his number for Charlotte hoping that she calls. But the call never came. That is until...two months later.

photo b1cbb3aa3ff686aa289450122f6cb7_zpsoziixzvd.gif“I cared for her so much it hurt sometimes. It was how I was feeling about Charlotte right now. My feelings for her were an out-of-control freight train, barreling down the tracks. I’d vowed not to let this happen again, but not only did I think it wasn’t possible to stop the train, I didn’t want to.”

#Bennett

Well fast forward to two months later, Charlotte is standing in Bennett’s doorstep and announces to him that she is pregnant and is the baby sister of Bennett’s teammate, Liam. Worrying about making it in the NHL and now a baby on the way, Bennett has a lot on his plate but he makes it known to Charlotte that he will be there supporting her with everything. As Bennett and Charlotte discusses their future plans, Bennett makes it known to Charlotte that they should try dating to really get to know each other and also see if there is something more. As they start this new relationship, Charlotte makes it known to Bennett that she wants to keep their relationship a secret for now since she doesn’t want to cause any friction between Liam and Bennett. But what happens when their secret is out? And what happens when Bennett’s insecurities and fears destroys his chance of a happily ever after with Charlotte? And can Charlotte let go of her fear of commitment?

photo b1cbb3aa3ff686aa289450122f6cb7_zpsoziixzvd.gif“I love you, Charlotte. And that’s a hard thing for me to do and say. But I do. I love your strength and your smile and your intelligence. I love how you keep me on my toes. It’s never felt as good to make another person happy as it does with you.”

Brenda Rothert has seriously stole my heart when she introduced me to one of the sweetest, charming, and lovable hockey heroes that I have read. So as you can see, I LOVE BENNETT. Okay, let me reiterate it one more time… Bennett is a MUST READ!!!! Here is why you have to read this book. First and foremost, this book is so raw, emotional, touching, and heartfelt. Secondly, Bennett will score major points on the ice and off the ice. **wink** And lastly, Bennett has one of the most lovable hero that can make any hearts flutter with his honesty, devotion, and commitment. So if you are ready to be swept away in this sweet, raw and beautiful tale of love then I highly recommend you to read this book. If I am keeping score, Brenda Rothert has already won as she delivered two amazing minor league hockey heroes. And FYI, Brenda Rothert has been told Bennett Christopher Morse belongs to me.. hahha.

Calling romance fans... Jennifer Bernard has readers running around the bases as she delivers a home run love story that will definitely set hearts swooning!! Ms. Bernard does not strike out when it comes to delivering a sexy, steamy, and fun romantic read that will definitely have readers like myself caught off guard on how charming small town love can be.

Caught by You is the second book in the Love Between the Bases Series and could be read as a standalone. I was easily smitten and charmed with this delightful read. As a big baseball fan, I love when an author can create a fun romance story but still keep it fresh and sexy with a touch of raw emotions and laughter. This book hit it all in all aspects of entertainment. So if you are looking for a book that was endearing, light, and adorable then I highly recommend you to read this book. All I can say, get ready to fall in love with this book. Don't worry about the fall because Mike Solo will definitely catch you as you fall head over heels in love with him and his relationship with Donna.
