I can't even begin to express how much I LOVED and ADORED Pucked Up!!!!! Helena Hunting has seriously stole my heart when she introduced me to one of the sweetest, charming, and lovable Yeti that I have ever read. Okay, well there is no actual Yeti but Miller “Buck” Butterson will make me reconsider thinking Yeti's aren't so bad especially if they have a heart of gold like Miller.

#PuckedUP1

Helena Hunting is seriously one of those authors who has mastered weaving romance with smart sexy humor while integrating a touching story-line with raw emotional undertones that can pull all the heartstrings. If Helena Hunting wanted to steal your hearts, then she DELIVERED!!!!! Helena Hunting DELIVERED a fun, sexy, fresh romantic comedy that will have you wanting to get PUCKED UP by Miller “Buck” Butterson.

#PuckedUp2

Miller “Buck” Butterson is a professional hockey player, who is tired of the puck bunnies and playboy lifestyle. He is ready to settle down and be committed to a girlfriend. And the only person that he has set his eyes and heart on is Sunshine "Sunny" Waters, the younger sister of Alex Waters, who happens to be one of his teammates. Miller wants Sunny. He wants to show her that he is a changed man. A man that can be faithful and committed. But unfortunately for Miller, a few misconstrued and misleading pictures taken of him soon begins popping up on social media which doesn't help his image of a changed man. With Alex and Sunny's friend not being supportive of Miller also doesn't help convince Sunny's in her trust issues and insecurities. Will Buck be able to show and prove to Sunny that she ain't another notch on his bed? Can Sunny learn to trust Miller?

Did I mention hot much I LOVED PUCKED UP? Okay, let me reiterate it one more time again... PUCKED UP is a MUST READ!!!!! Here is why you have to read this book. First and foremost, this book is so refreshing, entertaining, and oh so funny!!!! Secondly, Violet is back and let me tell you that I absolutely LOVE this WOMAN!!!! She is so blunt, funny, and yet has this BIG HEART for her brother whom she happens to think is a YETI. And lastly, Pucked UP has one of the most lovable hero that can make your hearts flutter with his honesty and big heart. So if you are ready to laugh out loud and be swept up in this sweet and charming romance, then this book is for you!!!!! #BeReadyToEmbraceAYeti

"Hope. It spread like an infection and tainted clean version and dedication. It made me think about, and long for, other things outside of the one thing that encapsulated my entire life."

#TheseBatteredHands1

Majestic. Laurel Ulen Curtis charms her readers in one of those most beautiful inspiring tale of hope, perseverance, and love in her newest release, These Battered Hands. Ms. Curtis did an amazing job with this book as she gave her readers not an ordinary sports romance but she allowed them to feel and walk through the journey of what every professional athletes have to endure. The pressure to succeed. The pressure to be the best. The pressure of fulfilling a lifelong dream built on hard word and dedication. And the pressure to have that one last shot before you can walk away from a career. Whether we realize it or not, our hands holds and tells a story of our life. And in These Battered Hands, Ms. Curtis tells us a story of a young woman's battered and tired hands of her last shot at a Olympic glory.

Callie Nickleson is a two time Olympic gymnast and at the age of twenty-six, she is trying to earn the spot for her third Olympic games. She is well aware that she passed the typical normal standard for a female gymnast since she competes with young girls, whose bodies are less worn and tired. But behind her battered hands that is rough, ripped and filled with calluses, lies a woman who seeks perfection, strength, and determination to succeed. Her life has always consisted of gymnastics. And so when her father hires a new coach to help train Callie, she never expected to have such an intense connection and bond to her coach, Nikolai Bagrov. Nikolai immediately sees the spark, the drive and passion that Callie once had for the sport begins to lose it's gleam. As Callie and Nikolai begin to spend more time together, she begins to see a whole new world of possibilities. Happiness begins to shine and radiate in her eyes. Love begins to beat. And so with the help of Nikolai, can she reach her dream of Olympic glory? Or will she realize that happiness and the greatest prize is having someone hold her "battered hands"?

#TheseBatteredHands

"I never wanted it to end, but I also wanted more than stolen kisses and unsure rendezvous. And that kind of more was only founded on more. More communication, more understanding, and more respect."

#TheseBatteredHands2

I loved and adored this book. These Battered Hands is one of those stories that instantly grips and touches your heart. Ms. Curtis allows her readers to really FEEL for her characters. Feel all the sacrifices, the hurt, the pain, the heartbreak, the pressure, and the dedication each athlete endures for their craft. What I especially loved about the book was how the author opened up each chapter with one word. That one word was a relevant introduction to the story line that added so much depth and meaning to the story. The writing in this book was written with such raw passion and intensity that Ms. Curtis really emphasized that sometimes our dreams and goals can take a new route that opens new possibilities and happiness. And maybe it's not about being embarrassed at one's battered hands but seeing the space between the fingers that fits perfectly with the person you love.

"I learned to love those battered hands, but I learned to love you better."

West Ashby is the typical high school football player; manwhore that uses girls, super popular, and extremely handsome. But no one knows that his father is dying slowly right before his eyes. Maggie Carleton is the new girl in town, and the cousin of Brady Higgens, West’s best friend. Brady told everyone that Maggie couldn’t speak, and that she was off-limits. One night at the field part that was always held after a game, West runs into Maggie as he was leaving, and uses her as a distraction.  He later on tells her everything about what’s going on with him because he knows she won’t tell anyone. He doesn’t expect it, but Maggie speaks to him. She tells him that her mother was murdered by her father in front of her two years ago, and tells him that she hasn’t spoken since then. They end up confiding in each other, and West uses her as a crutch to deal with his problems. Maggie falls in love with him, but she worries that all she will ever be is a crutch.

This book was heartbreakingly beautiful. It had a solemn mood overall, but there were some light moments. There were times when I wanted to cry because of what these characters had to go through. Although this is a YA book, it’s kind of in between YA and NA because of the swearing and sexual scenes, and other mature topics. The side characters all keep the story interesting, the only thing that made me scratch my head a little was that all the high school girls in this story are sluts expect for Maggie. Overall I enjoyed this emotional romance about loss and heartache, and recommend this to anyone looking for a story that’s in between YA and NA.

Until Friday Night (The Field Party, #1)Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
REVIEWED BY: Neilliza

Until Friday Night is my first Abbi Glines book and I will for sure come back for more. This book had my attention from beginning to end. Yes, there’s some things I don’t agree with, but that’s high school for you. Everyone is different, they are either party goers, or quiet, loner, smart, who doesn’t like to get in the party mix and that’s Maggie the heroine. Maggie went through a horrible event in her life, that she chose the best thing for her to do is to never speak again. But everything changed once she met high school jock Wes. Wes was good looking and was every girl fantasy. He was tough looking from the outside, but Maggie knew that Wes was more than meets the eye. Maggie saw right through Wes and all she wanted to do was be that person to help him. When their understanding of each other became what brought them together, they became each others rock. One needing the other more than life itself, while other just took it all. Wes used girls to ease his pain, but each time he thought about Maggie, he wanted to change his way. But his best friend Brody made it clear that Maggie was off limits, will that stop them from becoming more than friends? Read and find out.

I love this book so much. Wes and Maggie story was very touching. These two connected so much deeper than sex. Their connection was deep and intense. Their love was so sweet and passionate, it’s hard to believe they were only in high school. Their understanding for each other was so open and honest, I couldn’t help but love them. Yes, Wes made some stupid decisions, but once he figured out what he really wanted and needed..he was nothing but sweet to Maggie. Maggie deserved the world and Wes fought hard to give it to her. Maggie was his world and she deserved everything good to come her way. Maggie was a strong heroine, very likable and smart. No wonder every guy wanted her, but she only had her eyes for Wes.

Wes friend’s are the best and I have grown very fond of Nash. I am hoping that the next story is about Nash, a nice boy who needs his own happy ending. Can’t wait for the next book in the series, Abbi Glines you got me.
