Staring at the bottom of the bottle, Grace is drowning in sadness and loss. Spiraling down, she is stuck in the shadows of depression where she is gripping with the loss of her fiance’s suicide. Memories of her fiance haunts Grace and the only thing she can numb her broken heart is alcohol. Emotionally vacant and sadness consuming her, Grace’s only salvation comes in the form of a stranger, who understood the emptiness behind her eyes.
When Logan first spotted Grace at the bar, he knew behind her tough exterior lies also a broken individual who is drowning in sorrow, guilt, and loss. There was some magnetic pull that drew Logan to Grace. He wanted to help her since he knew what it was like having alcohol as crutch. As much as Grace tries to push Logan away, she was immediately drawn to him.
One word to describe Grace For Drowning: Beautiful!!! This book was so well written that I found myself devouring this book in one sitting. Ms. Cross literally took her readers on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Grace and Logan’s emotional journey as couple gutted my heart and played with my emotions. I felt every ounce of their pain, loss, heartbreak, love, sadness, and happiness. The emotional and physical connection between these two were so strong that you could feel their love being evoked in each page. The beauty in this book is the message that love heals and hope never fails. Grace and Logan’s story truly made you believe in the power love and second chances. If you are looking for a story that will grip you then I highly recommend Grace for Drowning. It took my heart, twisted it around, tore it to pieces, and slowly taped it back together.
