One..Two..Three...Four..Five... Six. That's right, six books where readers like myself where consumed and captivated by the stunning prose and raw characters of Katy Evans. And in this sixth and final installment of The Real Series, Katy delivers a knockout punch that will forever be cemented in our hearts!!
It's a bittersweet feeling to say goodbye to Remy and his crew. It truly has been one REAL journey of ups and down and I loved every raw moment that Ms. Evans took her readers on. And in this final stop, Ms. Evans has gripped her readers for one unforgettable story that will remind us all why LEGENDS are remembered and never forgotten.

LEGEND was the perfect last installment. Everything about this book was just PERFECT and I LOVED IT HARD. If I thought I couldn't share my love for Remy, I was wrong because Ms. Evans has written another hero who was just as amazing as Remy. Maverick “the Avenger” Cage is the hero who is worthy to take the place of Remington Tate.

Maverick Cage has fought his way to the top on his own merits. He truly worked his way to gain the recognition he deserves. He fought for his mother. For his future. For his love and passion of the sport. And for his self-worth. While no one wanted to give Maverick a shot because of his birth father. His father, Scorpion was a fighter, who is synonymous as one of the most dirtiest fighter left a reputation for Maverick that was undesired. While Maverick didn't know his father, he never denied who his birth father was. He didn't want to be known as the son of a fighter. Maverick Cage wanted to be a fighter to be remembered for his own skills. He wanted to be a legend. And every great fighter must be battled tested. And one way to rise to the top is take down the reigning champion. Remington Tate.

Reese Dumas needed a fresh new start. She needed to go find herself. Find what makes her happy and live the life that she was meant to live. And so when she was hired to be the nanny to her cousin Brooke's son, Reese took this opportunity to get her life in track. And one mission Reese wanted to accomplish was to be a healthy and fit. As part of Tate's team and household, Reese was immediately welcomed and treated like family. She loved taking care of Racer, Brooke and Remy's son. So when Reese was working out, she sort of befriends Maverick at the gym when she helped him out on a bind.

Knowing that Reese didn't have to help him out, Maverick was in awe with Reese's genorisity and kind heart. Soon he begins to form a friendship with her. And as they two begin to spend more quality time together, feelings begins to emerge. Soon Reese was embedded in his thoughts and the same could be said of hers as well. A deep friendship was formed and soon a deep sexual and emotional relationship was also formed.

Maverick was all about delivering the knockout punch to his opponents but what he failed to realized was that Reese Dumas was the girl to bring him to his knees. There was only one thing Maverick Cage was afraid of losing. It was not a title match but it was losing Reese. And as their relationship deepened emotionally, Maverick knew that Reese was his everything. And the same thing could have been said of Reese as she realizes that this feeling that she is feeling is LOVE. And this kind of love can bring anyone down to their knees.

The love of Maverick and Reese was tangible and palpable right from the start. I loved how Ms. Evans made their relationship feel so natural. She allowed her characters to really feel the depth of their connections. Nothing was rushed or forced. And so when it was time for Maverick and Reese to be in a committed relationship, readers felt the full grasp of their intense love. It was the kind of love that reminded me of Brooke and Remy.
While I can go on and on about how beautiful their relationship is, I loved that this book was still layered with so much depth, meaning and raw emotions. Ms. Evans allowed her readers to be consumed with an honest, raw, and vulnerable tale of a young man discovering his self worth and inner strength. A young man seeing pass all the negativity and demons. A young man discovering why legends are born and made. And for Maverick Cage, he discovered that settling for a life less than the one you are capable of living is not what makes a LEGEND. And for him, his dream to succeed and find a woman worthy of loving is what makes a legend. And sometimes getting to the top is about showing that even a nobody can be remembered.

So once again, I just want to say a big thank you to Katy Evans for bringing these beloved and raw characters into our lives. She has truly given her readers a ringside performance that has kept us entertained throughout the six book journey. And throughout this REAL journey, readers like myself had cried, laughed, swooned, loved, and cheered on for their fighter. And if it was Katy's mission to deliver a knockout punch, mission accomplished. So I think it's fitting if I end my review in the words of Rocky Balboa: "How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth." And so if you are ready to read a romance that is layered with grit, passion, humility, honesty, and raw emotions then get ready to fall in love with a LEGEND.
