Reid Travers is my new book boyfriend!!!!!! I absolutely loved Throttled by Elizabeth Lee. I have only read three books from this author and she has managed to get me addicted and hooked to her books!!! Elizabeth Lee, you have officially put yourself on my #oneclick authors.
Throttled was one of the sweetest and emotionally charged second chance romance done right!! I am a big fan of second chance romance trope and Ms. Lee has beautifully executed this in Throttled. I practically inhaled this book in one sitting and couldn't get enough of Reid Travers and wanted more. I love a book that can leave you with the warm fuzzy feeling and Throttled did just that.
It's been seven years since Reid Travers returned back to his hometown in Illinois when he left to pursue a professional career in motor-cross. Being back home in his family's property brought back all the memories of his childhood and of course the one person he couldn't forget. Nora Bennett was and is still the only woman who owned his heart and soul. There was only thing that he regretted and that was how he ended things with Nora.

Nora Bennett was devastated when Reid Travers broke her heart seven years ago when he decided to pack up and move to Texas to pursue his professional career. So when fate reunites them back, Nora didn't expect these buried feelings to resurface. As much as she wanted to hate him, she knew deep down, Reid was always the one. The one who ignited passion, love, and made her feel so much more. Although Reid hurt her when he left, she didn't expect Reid to fight for her. When Reid saw that Nora still loved him, he knew he had to fight for his second chance to make it right. His second chance was within grasp and nothing can throttle his chance to get the woman he loves.
Reid and Nora's second chance at love was breathtakingly emotional and yet beautiful. I loved that after all these years, they still had the passion and love that couldn't be extinguished. Their love was something that runs deeps and was the soul-mate kind of love. A love worth fighting for. A love that reminds us all to never give up on someone you can't go a day without thinking about. So if you want to know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders. And Reid and Nora had that kind of love. An unforgettable kind of love. A love that was so palpable and tangible.
Ms. Lee writes a beautiful, poignant and touching story of second chances that reminds us all sometimes we can't let go because in the back of our minds, we still believe that someday we'll get our second chance. All there is left to say is go read Throttled because this book had every element of what I love in romance novels. If you are fan of second chances, forgiveness, and happily ever afters then this book is for you!!!
