Darynda Jones has once again bewitched her readers in this new fun, comely and riveting read in the latest installment of the Charley Davidson Series. The Dirt on the Ninth Grave instantaneously picks off where it last left off in the previous book and I was instantly hooked. And how could I not be when the opening pages start off with "I see dead people."

This will not be my standard review of where I would rehash what happened in the story because reading this installment is worth it. Ms. Jones stuns and captivates her readers with her raw and witty prose as you are embarked on the journey of Janey/Charley trying to discover and recall what happened to her. And along the way, we are fascinated to the people that she meets in the town of Sleepy Hollow and of course Reyes.

Oh Reyes, you have beguiled me with your personality. I think it so fitting that he can break your heart and at the same time, have your hearts racing so fast. So yes, Reyes is one of the key factors in having me hooked.
Overall, The Dirt on the Ninth Grave had more of an emotional angsty undertone and of course layered with bits of humor that we would have expected from Ms. Jones. With Ms. Jones phenomenal and wicked writing, she captives and lures her readers to another unforgettable installment. I seriously can't wait for The Curse of the Tenth Grave.
