☆☆☆☆ 4.5 ☆☆☆☆
This started out a little slow, but once the story kicked into gear it was like watching the TV show. As we all know The Originals, brothers and sister pledge to stay together forever. To live life together, to protect each other no matter what..but sometimes promises are hard to keep when love and power gets in the way.
This book goes way before what we know of The Originals. This story shows how the siblings came to be in New Orleans. How they fought for their place, to belong and for their fortress away from their father. It’s about love and lost, pain and death of the life that they have to live to be where they are now.
What Rebecca and Klaus go through was heartbreaking, now I understand why Klaus the way he is. With the life that they have been living for so long, they have been broken in and out…but together, Elijah, Klaus and Rebekah always picked each other up. The love they have for each other is stronger than anything or anyone can ever give them. Together they are stronger.
Until the next book…Ill be waiting.
