Anika Rossi appeared to have the perfect life. A gifted dancer heading for the bright future that The White Room had been quietly guiding her toward. She had always known exactly what she wanted: to live the fairy tale. She would dance the role of every princess, Tyne Bonham would be her handsome prince and together they would find happily every after.
Christopher Rossi had a secret. A vision of something terrible, seen before he was even born that haunted his reality and threatened everything he loved.
Tyne Bonham had a history that he was ashamed of and couldn't seem to overcome. The one person who could mend him was Anika, but the six-year age gap seemed too big to bridge.
When a stranger took an interest in Anika, an event from the past began to haunt them all. The future became inexplicable tangled with a devastating moment that couldn't be changed. The White Room stubbornly refused to show anything but empty whiteness and death seemed to be the ultimate conclusion.
Could Christopher's secret save them or would the dream of happily ever after be lost forever? Find out in The White Room.
This is a great sequel to The Wishing Place, it continues on the story about the special place The White Room.
In the first book Valerie called her special place The Wishing Place, but in this second book, her daughter Anika has a similar place called The White Room. Anika's place is not like her mom's at all, her place shows her glimpse of bad things happening and it never shows her enough to figure out what the bits and pieces are about. She spends part of her life trying to figure what everything could mean.
In this book in shows us that Nick and Valerie did have their Happily Ever after, with two beautiful kids Anika and Christopher. It also shows her best friend had his happily ever after, while still being a great dad to his adopted kid Tyne.
This time the story focuses on the kids, mostly on the life of Tyne and Anika. Anika had always been in love with Tyne, but he could never look at her the way she wants..because of their 5yr age difference. Until Anika turned 15, Tyne couldn't think of anyone else but her. He tried to forget his feelings for her and just be a good friend to her like he has always been, but no matter what he did..he couldn't. So he left for college in Italy, to give himself some time away. Being away just made his heart grow fonder. When he came back after months of being gone, seeing Anika grown into a woman made him fall in love with her more. He still tried to keep his distance, because he felt sick about how much he loved her. He doesn't feel it's right, because Anika is so young. After a while, he stops seeing anyone and decided to wait for her to be of the right age.
The more Tyne waits, the more Anika felt restless. She felt Tyne would never love her, because he would never give her hope of a future with him. So she spends her time with a trouble boy Eagel, until she decided to go to Juilliard for the summer Ballerina program and met a wonderful boy named Jesse. I fell in love with Jesse, I mean don't get me wrong, I love Tyne..but Jesse has been just very sweet. He was just honest, sweet guy, who felt like he wasn't good enough to be with Anika. He felt like Anika deserved so much more, because he couldn't give her more time or what she needs.
After going through life and meeting all these people...
Will Anika stay with Jesse and forget about Tyne?
Or will Tyne and Anika find their way into each others arms?
Another great book from Mindy Haig. This book had made me fall in love with so many characters, it made me laugh and cry, it is truly a lovable story of Anika and Tyne with their family. I love it.
