Stay: A Bleeding Stars Stand-Alone Novel ![]() My rating: 5 of 5 stars Reviewed by: Michelle ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review ![]() Stay by AL Jackson is a literary composition that beautifully blends raw emotions, love, and second chances in a visceral and poetic manner. There is no question in doubt that Jackson has a way with words. It seems she has this ethereal way of tugging and pulling those heartstrings as her words bleeds into our hearts, mind and soul. Jackson knew the lyrics to our heart when it came to mending the broken pieces as she brought forth two broken and lost individuals. Hearts are strumming, beating and racing wildly as readers could feel the pulse and connection of Willow and Ash. Is it fate? Kismet? Regardless of what you may call it, when their two worlds collided it brought forth a deep connection that will only stay with you. Yes, it stayed. It bleed deep into your hearts and bones where you were left speechless, breathless and mesmerized. The beauty of Stay is getting lost in Jackson's words, flawed characters and the raw emotions. It's about surrendering to the brokenness, emptiness, loss, heartache and most importantly the love. The writing was brilliant, poignant and full of compassion. Her poetic and lyrical prose is a symphony of beauty, truth, understanding and hope. So are you ready to feel and get consumed with every tangible and palpable elements of the tune and melody of AL Jackson? If so, I suggest you Stay. ![]()

Read and find out. Rane started out as a fun guy, who didn’t take anything seriously. Everything was fun and games to him, until Maddie happened. They were sweet, fun and sexy together. I enjoyed their sweet banters, their sweet moments. Yes, they may have slept together too quickly for my taste, but in their story, it made a whole lot of sense. I can’t wait to read Rane’s very protective brother’s Keir’s story. :::REVIEW IS ALSO ON FOUR CHICKS FLIPPING PAGES::: http://fourchicksflippingpages.weebly... View all my reviews

![]() My rating: 5 of 5 stars Reviewed by: Michelle ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review ![]() LOUD. Loud is definitely the word to describe this spectacular debut book by Mercy Brown. Usually, when something is loud, we are often asked to lower the volume or tone it down but that doesn't apply to this book. LOUD IS HOW I LOVE YOU was LOUD and PROUD as it paints a literary tale that screams and begs readers to experience the gorgeous prose that Mercy Brown has captured of two hearts finding the same rhythm and beat. ![]() LOUD IS HOW I LOVE YOU is a fresh, deafening and intensely sweet and charming book that will resonate to all romance aficionados out there that LOVE is taking that risk. Taking that chance to shout out and let your love be heard. And let it be LOUD. Well, in this case there is only one way to have a love story be heard. The lyrics must be felt and let me just say Mercy Brown, I have heard you and your book not only delivers a deafening sound but this book delivers everything I wanted in a New Adult Romance. "Stay loud so I don't lose you. I will follow the sound of you anywhere." One night. One night was all it took for Emmy's world to be rocked on it's axis. One night with Travis, a member in the rock band that Emmy also belongs too. The one rule to not get involved with a member in the band was tossed out the window when Emmy couldn't shake out her intense attraction and feelings for Travis. But the only problem is Emmy doesn't want to ruin the band dynamics so she keeps Travis at a distance while Travis doesn't want to sweep what happened to them under the rug. He wants to make it known that this tangible connection that he has with Emmy can't be extinguished and that you must let your heart surrender to the music. "Then he covered my mouth with a deep, heartfelt kiss. And it wasn’t everything I ever fantasized about with him. It wasn’t my dream come true. It was so much better than that." This book captured what life and love is all about. There will be some high notes, some low notes but put together they compose an unforgettable song and melody. LOUD IS HOW I LOVE YOU comprises a story layered with love, friendship, music, life, and hope. Mercy Brown did an amazing job writing the story of Emmy and Travis. She truly captured a palpable connection of two friends who took awhile to get their love heard out loud. While Emmy may have been frustrating at times, I understood her fears because the band was her life, her family, and her purpose. And if she lost the band, it would devastate her but losing Travis would be a heartbreak that might she not be able to recover from. As I said before earlier, Mercy Brown, I have heard you loud and clear. Your writing was fun, fresh, innovative and oh so entertaining. You made me reminisce the 90s music scene and at the same time had a love story that was meant to BE LOUD. With a lively cast of characters, Ms. Brown gave her readers a full spectrum of what looks like a vibrant and amazing series. So Mercy Brown thank you for this LOUD and BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY! ![]() Mercy Brown View all my reviews

View all my reviews ![]() My rating: 3 of 5 stars Reviewed by: Michelle ARC provided by publisher in exchange for an honest review ![]() When I first read the blurb of Wicked Reunion, I was intrigued and always was a sucker for second chance romance books. I did not read the first book, but I was advised that this book can be read as a standalone since it focused on a different member of the band, Wicked White. As much as I loved the premise of the book, I did not fully love this book because I did not love the hero as much as I wanted. A secret part of me was rooting for the hero's brother, Wes to get the girl and I wished that he did. Well, maybe more like I wanted to read Wes story more than Jared's. Wicked Reunion deals with two childhood best friends who easily transitioned into boyfriend and girlfriend. London was madly in love with Jared Kraft and would follow him to the ends of the world. She was perfectly content on wherever Jared is. But when tragedy hits, Jared lost control of his life and left London. Five years of distance away from London, his mom, his hometown, and his brother, Wes. Within those five years, Wes has been there to pick up the pieces that Jared left behind. He was there to take care of his mother after their father died during a military operation and was there for London when her heart was completely shattered and devastated when Jared left her. Wes has always been in love with London and so as a reader my heart ached for him when suddenly Jared appeared back into town. Given the title, it was definitely a wicked reunion for Jared, London and Wes. Why the three stars? Well, for one London was the quintessential doormat for Jared. She was weak and let Jared walk all over her especially when he was going through his rough periods. I also didn't like the way she treated Wes towards the end. And Jared, his arrogance within the band already made me disliked him. I think the only redeeming part of the story was Wes. Yes, the secondary character stole my heart. I wanted him to get the girl. I wanted him to be happy. I was secretly hoping the author would do a plot twist and make London see who has been by her side the whole entire time. But a part of me is relieved he didn't get London, because he deserved a woman who treated him so much better. While this book ends on a happy note for London and Jared, I think I was more curious as to what happened to Wes than what happened to Jared. ![]() View all my reviews

So a few months ago, I read my first Caisey Quinn book, Leaving Amarillo and ever since then I was hooked with wanting to know more about the cast characters who have captured my heart. And in this final installment of the Neon Dream Series, Caisey Quinn delivered one of her most intense, raw and emotionally gritty conclusion in Missing Dixie. ![]() Ms. Quinn had left readers pondering the question of what lies ahead for Gavin Garrison and Dixie Lark. Will these two finally be singing the song to each other's hearts? Or will they discover that they are on two different wavelengths? Well, Ms. Quinn did not disappoint her readers as she delievered the perfect ending for this couple. As with any relationship, the first step in beginning a life together is honesty. For Gavin, the truth of his past is not pretty. Mistakes were made. Skeletons of his past were filled with guilt and regret but in the end he owned them. It made him who he is today, a better man. A man who knows without a doubt that there is only one woman for him. His Bluebird, Dixie Lark. ![]() Dixie has been and will always be in love with Gavin Garrison. He was the one person who knew every note, song, and lyrics to her heart. He had the power to get under her skin. But the road to happiness had to start from her. When Dixie started a music program that she was passionate about, it gave her a sense that she was doing something that had meaning and purpose. It was her way of saying thank you to music and the beauty it fed her soul. As such, Dixie Lark blossomed into a character with so much depth and heart. ![]() ![]() Dixie and Gavin's relationship was not an easy feat. This couple had an uphill battle of where they must acknowledge what happened to them. Gavin had to be completely honest with her with what really happened to him. Without spoiling it for the readers, I will just say Ms. Quinn gripped readers to the core as she laid an onslaught of raw heartfelt emotions that stripped you naked and made you FEEL every ounce of vulnerability as Gavin and Dixie worked through their issues. Though this book may have been classified as a second chance romance, it was so much more. Caisey Quinn allowed her readers to feel, see, hear, and breathe in the love and music that had captured our hearts. She showcased the personal growth of not just Gavin and Dixie but as well as Dallas. Dreams can change, new beginning can emerge, love can grow and blossom and lives can forever be intertwined. So if you are looking for a book where raw vulnerability and honesty was the backbone that gave this conclusion of this series profound meaning, then I highly recommend you to read Missing Dixie. ![]() Review can also be found on Four Chicks Flipping Pages: http://fourchicksflippingpages.weebly...Caisey Quinn View all my reviews |
