Finding love, Heartbreak, Loss and Living the Dream all happening at once…That’s Sophia’s life.
Sophia and her band Dollar Settlement are finding getting their big break, after all their hard work. Since Lux seen their performance, they were invited to fly out to the record studio to talk about their band. After meeting with Lux from the record label, they were signed to a 5 album deal. It was the greatest moments of their lives, with her band Matt, Roger and Cory. They were like family, since they started their band in college they have been inseparable.
The day they were signed was also the day they met their favorite band Undead Society. It was also the day Sophia met the cocky and jerky guy Tristan. The day they met was the day Sophia couldn’t take her eyes off him, she learned she had to look away quick after finding what kind of a jerk-off Tristan was. Sophia’s attraction was strong and electrifying, but she couldn’t figure out exactly what Tristan was thinking. All she knows is that he is the biggest jerk she ever laid her eyes on.
Being the new opening act to Undead Society meant Sophia’s band had to spend a lot of time with them, which means more time she has to spend with the jerk-off Tristan. When the tour started, they celebrated by going out and drinking almost every night and at times they got high. Except for their sweet friend and guitar player Cory, he did so much more than smoking or drinking. He was doing hard core drugs, he was snorting cocaine and shooting up heroine. They were all worried about him, but did their best to let him figure everything out himself. They find out later that, not taking care of Cory more was the biggest mistake they all ever made, they should have sent him to Rehab.
Will Sophie forgive Tristan for his stupid mistake and give them a try?
Or did Tristan hurt Sophie past the unforgivable zone?
I didn’t realized that this book is the first book of the series, until I was on the last page. So of course that means, it ended with a cliffhanger. One very open to what could happen next in Sophia and Tristan’s love story.
The whole time I was reading this book, I was unsure how I felt about it. I was crossing my fingers the whole time hoping Tristan will show a real good side of him to win me over, but by the time I was done reading I still felt the same way. I hope that in book 2 Tristan totally redeems himself and make me fall for him. Until then, I’ll be waiting.
