“The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.” — John Milton, Paradise Lost”
Alessandra Torre is another one of those authors for me that is an automatically a must read and one-click. Every book that she releases are completely devoured. What can I say but I love all of Alessandra Torre’s books. Ms. Torre will suck you in how captivating, bewitching, and eloquent her writing and storytelling is. And The Girl in 6E was no exception. I’m not even sure I can articulate my love for The Girl in 6E. This book was exciting, tantalizing, suspenseful, thrilling, dark, funny, edgy, raw and sexy. They say the eyes are useless when the mind is blind and so Ms. Torre will open our eyes in The Girl in 6E. Nothing is black and white. Life is not perfect. The truth hurts. Danger exist. Secrets will be unraveled and exposed. And behind Deanna Madden’s eyes is a story to be told of why she is the girl in 6E.
“No one is normal. Everyone is just pretending to be normal.”
Who is the girl in 6E? Behind the doors of apartment 6E, lies a dark, sexual, twisted and secretive woman. And her name is Deanna Madden. For three years, Deanna has secluded herself behind the walls of her apartment. Within these walls, people are safe from her dark and homicidal tendencies. Deanna also leads a double secret life. She is also Jessica Reilly, the sexy vixen and fantasies of both men and women in her webcam business. She is a seductress. She is your fantasy come true.
“I inherited a lot from my mother, including delicate features, long legs, and dark hair, but the biggest genetic inheritance has been her homicidal tendencies.”
Deanna has accepted her solitary lifestyle. She owns it and knows it’s what best for her and society. What happens when Deanna/Jessica comes in contact with a known perdophille and murderer in her webcam chat sessions? Will Deanna finally be pushed to leave her safe haven of apartment 6E?
“Hope, in general, is dangerous. Hope can be the loose thread that pulls apart your sanity.”
The Girl in 6E will suck you in as layers of Deanna’s past and present are peeled and exposed. With added suspense and mystery, Ms. Torre will have readers question the sanity of Deanna. Is she really dark and homicidal? Can Deanna be saved and freed from her dark urges and desires. The unfolding and added layer of weaving the past and present is what pulled me into this story. You do not know what will happen and if there is a HEA for Deanna. The element of surprise is what I love most about this book. It is unlike any other book I have read before and that's what makes this book so refreshing and thrilling for me.
Alessandra Torre is indeed storyteller and The Girl in 6E is another perfect example of her spellbinding ways. Alessandra was able to incorporate so much punch and layers into this book. It will shock and surprise you. Her storytelling will have you glued to your kindle and have you on the edge of your seats on what will Deanna do. Ms. Torre brought life to Deanna and the secondary characters. Theses are not just a fictional characters but characters that felt real. The raw emotional transformation of each of these characters especially Deanna were felt through each page. The Girl in 6E is one of those books that must be experienced. Deanna’s story reminds us all that we all have secrets. Some may dark and twisted. But sometimes having your secrets exposed can be freeing. As a big fan of Alessandra Torre, The Girl in 6E will be one of those books that will shock, grip, touch and stay with you.
Thank you Alessandra for writing another AH-MAZZZING BOOK!! <3
